Has anyone ever had a uti with continuous pelvic pain>?

I just got antibiotics for a uti from the doctor. What is causing this pelvic pain that seems constant from this uti? How long before antibiotics take hold?
could take a few days. the pain is coming for the irritation to the lining of your bladder. Take an over the counter medicine called uristat. It will take away the symptoms of the bladder infectin completely until the antibiotics kick in. Also make sure to drink tons of fluids, especailly water and cranberry juice. stay away from things that would irritate the bladder, such as chocolate, caffeine, sugar, etc.

So loo for uristat, and if you can't find it just look for anything that says urinary pain relief or something similar. Feel better soon!  (+ info)

What can be causing severe pelvic pain?

I get severe pelvic pain which is so bad that it throws me to the ground in the fetal position. I get it at least 2-3 a month and last around 30 minutes or so. I am not pregnant cause I have my tubes tied. I have had endometreosis and had a cyst removed about 6 years ago. What else could be causing it? Been to 2 different OBGYN's and had ultrasounds done and seem not to have an answer. PLS HELP!!
I have been on birth control for 4 years and it seemed not to help the pain.
Endometriosis doesn't go away, unless you have your ovaries removed or go through menopause.

You need to go on birth control for a couple of months and see if that reduces your symptoms, then you will know if its the endometriosis kicking in again or not.

Bryce, cysts are not infections on the ovaries, who told you that?? They are follicles that have basically over grown.

If you were to have PID, you would have a fever, pain so severe you wouldn't be on the computer and it doesn't go away. PID will end you up in the hospital and not over 2-3 mth time, it will do it in a week.

If the BCP isn't working on the pain, it could be bowel related also. Pelvic pain doesn't necessarily mean female anatomy. I would let the dr know that the BCP isn't working, your having increased pain and keep a diary of your cycle and where it is related to the pain to see if there is any correlation.

How common is it to have pelvic pain during pregnancy?

My wife has been having some pretty severe sharp pains in her pelvic area. She's around 7mo. There's a scientific term for it, but I forgot. Is it pretty common? Did/do you have these pains?
Oh, yes, both of my pregnancies and probably will this time too. It feels like you are being stabbed. Usually, it's the baby pressing on a nerve. Sometimes changing position will help or doing pelvic tilts, but often, it's a matter of waiting for the baby to decide to move.

Please pass on my sympathy. I clearly remember how painful and difficult it is to endure.

Is minor pelvic pain common when your period comes?

I've had minor pelvic pain the past day or so and I'm hoping it's just because of my period. Is this common on a period?

My fiance and I were both virgins when we first had sex and the last time was about two months ago. I haven't had any problems since then. I'm a hypochondriac so naturally I'm going to think something is wrong with me -- this time it's cervical cancer. I have no family history of it and no other symptoms other than the fact that my pelvis hurts slightly.

Is it common?
as long as you are on your period is very normal...

There are lucky women that don't even feel they are on they period, and another ones that have to stop going to school or work because of the pain.

Why could i be getting a sharp pain only on my right side of my pelvic area?

For the last couple of days i have been getting this sharp pain only on my right side of my pelvic area right under my stomach, my right leg also feels funny kinda like its asleep. The pain is not unbearable but it does bother me and can hurt at times. Any ideas on what it may be?
It really sounds like you have a misalignment in your pelvis. The misalignment causes the muscles to be stretched and as a result causes pain. This can also affect the nerves running down your leg.

I recommend that you go and see a chiropractor. They will be able to diagnose what is truly going on with you and if it is a misalignment, they will be able to realign it and help relieve the pain.

However, if the pain starts getting really sharp, please go to the Urgent care or ER. You could dealing with a kidney stone or appendicitis. But based on your symptom, I would almost rule these out.

38 weeks pregnant with constant no stop pain in my abdomin and pelvic area?

I have been having non-stop pain in my abdomin and pelvic area for 2 days now with what seems to be some leaking (but not sure). What should I do? What could it be?
if the pain is constant then it is the same thing I have been having for the last week(i am 39 weeks) I went to L&D to have it checked out and they said its just pain from the baby pressing up against nerves
the leaking is most likely cervical mucus and isnt anything to be worried about but I would still have it checked out  (+ info)

I have gone for a pelvic scan and the result came out normal. Gone also for a high and low vaginal SWAB test and the result came out as T. Vaginalis. I have taken Oral Metronidazole for this and the discharged I was having initially stopped. BUT this lower abdominal pain just wont go away. What do I do about it?

im going to be 39 weeks on tuesday and ive been getting a lot of stomach pain kind of cramping feelings the whole day for 2 days now. Also every time i walk my pelvic area hurts really bad its hard to walk. im just curious if im almost going to have my baby?

During sex last night during deep penetration the lower right side of my stomach were the ovaries are had a pain. I got up to pee and then the lower right side of my back start to have pain. I'm thinking and hoping its just a muscle spasm, but it hurt so bad. This morning the pain is gone, but I'm scared it will come back.

my AF was due Nov. 12 and it hasn't show up yet, i haven't tested yet im trying to wait until wednesday when im one week late.
im having pelvic pain since Nov. 13, the pain comes and goes, and sometimes im getting cramps, i really don't want to get my hopes up but do u guys think AF is on her way or can this be early pregnancy symtomps?
