stress test revealed hypokinesia of inferior wall noted?

Does this mean I have a heart condition? the results of my stress test revealed post exercise hypokenesia. resting study of test showed normal left ventricular systolic function. ecg analysis revealed 1 mm of st segment depression with excercise
----------

Obviously you have been in touch with a cardiologist at some point and they have read the test results and are the best source of info.  (+ info)

what is global hypokinesia?

This has to do with the left ventrical of the heart, mine in particular
----------

The entire LV wall function is not contracting / relaxing fully to its limit.

WALL MOTION ABNORMALITIES
Normally the contraction of the heart has a wringing motion, due to the arrangement of cardiac muscle fibers. For global evaluation, 2-D each is a useful tool. The SAX planes show all of the walls, except the apex. The best blood supply is at the base of the heart.

HYPERDYNAMIC
compensatory decrease in systolic wall thickening

HYPOKINETIC
slow moving wall shows decrease in fractional shortening

AKINETIC
wall may thin in systole

PARADOXIC
wall motion is compensatory and moves opposite of normal

DYSKINETIC
wall motion compensates for abnormal adjacent walls  (+ info)

Physician suggested us aortic valve replacement surgery
please help me to understand the echo report & situation complexity

is aortic valve replacement surgery necessary or there is any other solution ?

Thanks & Regards
Ravi
----------

To understand the report completely, you need to ask the doctor.

For a young person to have "severe" valvular disease means that they WILL have to have it replaced. It will only get worse with time. There's no medicine or yoga that will fix it.  (+ info)
