Just because it is common in men over 40, that doesn't mean that other ages aren't affected. It just means that the majority of men affected are over 40 years of age. Medicine often states the statistics of occurrence but that is not cast in stone because everyone is an individual. The age of person will have no impact whatsoever on sporadic angiokeratoma. (

Angiokeratoma is benign cutaneous injury of capillaries, resulting in small lesions on the skin, typically having a red to blue color and characterized by hyperkeratosis.
Fabry's disease is a sphingolipidosis caused by deficiency of α-galactosidase A, which produces angiokeratomas, acroparesthesias, corneal opacities, recurrent febrile episodes, and renal or heart failure.
Treatment is enzyme replacement with recombinant α-galactosidase A (agalsidase beta) combined with supportive measures for fever and pain. Kidney transplantation is effective for treating renal failure. (
