Can a partner with erectile dysfunction make you pregnant?

My husband and i have been trying for a baby but he suffers erectyle dysfunction. We've been to the doctor's and the medications don't seem to work. We've been trying to have sex even without erection but he ejaculates... We've tried that for a while now and want to know if there are success stories of ED and if there's a possibility of getting pregnant. Please share you thoughts and stories with me.
----------

yes! of course you can! :)

anyway - try some natural and herbal treatment! not viagra!!!

year ago my husband suffered very much from Erectile Dysfunction too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop Erectile Dysfunction. the things that really work is:

1) Increase your intake of L-arginine. Your body uses this amino acid to produce nitric oxide. This substance will allow for the relaxation of smooth muscle surrounding the penis' blood vessels, dilating them and increasing blood flow. This increased blood flow should encourage erections.

L-arginine can be found naturally through food such as: poultry, meat, dairy products and fish. It can also be purchased in tablet form as a supplement. However, it should be noted that high doses of L-arginine can result in stomach complaints as it increases the production of gastrin, which is the hormone responsible for producing stomach acid. If you suffer from ulcers it could exacerbate your problems, so you would be wise to steer clear of this treatment option.

2) Ginko is particularly effective in men who are suffering ED as a result of anti-depressants. Like L-arginine, it relaxes smooth muscle around the penis' blood vessels which can increase blood flow.

3) Ensure you are getting enough zinc in your diet by enjoying food such as: oysters, meats, cold-water fish, beans and nuts. Zinc absorption is better in people who have a diet richer in protein than in plants, so make sure you're getting enough meats, poultry, eggs, fish and nuts. Diabetes, digestive disorders and some kidney and liver diseases can cause a siginificant depletion of the mineral zinc which has been shown to lead to erectile dysfunction.

4) Alcohol, drugs (prescription & recreational) and smoking can increase likelihood of suffering from erectile dysfunction. It's best to cut out alcohol, recreational drugs and smoking from your routine to improve your chances of overcoming this problem. If you're concerned about the impact of prescription drugs on your sexual performance, speak to a pharmacist or doctor for advice.

5) Pelvic floor exercises have been shown to assist in treating ED. These exercises strengthen the muscles around the base of the penis. One study of 55 men showed that after 3 months, there was a marked improvement in men who followed these exercises. To do this at home, tighten your pelvic floor muscles as though you're trying to stop yourself from passing gas. You can also try and practicing retracting your penis and lifting your scrotum only using your pelvic floor muscles.

6) also you must use herbal treatment because you can not always live 100% healthy...!!!

in that case CaliPlus is really good (probably the best) product that helps against Erectile Dysfunction!
CaliPlus contains an effective composition of herbs that triggers the sex glands and increases blood accumulation in the erectile tissues (Corpora Cavernosa and Corpus Spongiosum) and thus produces strong erections.
I do not know if any pharmacies carry CaliPlus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.caliplus.com/?id=aa0a2e

It worked and still works for him!

What could be causing erectile dysfunction?

I'm 20 and in the last few months I have had erectile dysfunction! I don't know what could be causing it either. I have stopped masturbating for a long period of time and that didn't really help! What are some causes of erectile dysfunction? And is there any way to fix it?
----------

Treatment depends on the cause. Testosterone supplements may be used for cases due to hormonal deficiency. However, the cause is more usually lack of adequate penile blood supply as a result of damage to inner walls of blood vessels. This damage is more frequent in older men, and often associated with disease, in particular diabetes.
Treatments (with the exception of testosterone supplementation, where effective) work on a temporary basis: they enable an erection to be attained and maintained long enough for intercourse, but do not permanently improve the underlying condition. There are different treatments available

Oral Treatment
3 different tablets are currently available from the doctor and these work when there is sexual stimulation. Depending on the treatment, it will need to be taken 20 minutes to 1 hour before sex and the period of time over which it works can vary between 3 hours and up to 36 hours.
Alprostadil
This can be injected into the penis or inserted using a special applicator - usually just before sexual intercourse.
Alprostadil has also bcome available in some countries as a topical cream (under the brand name Befar), and preliminary studies have shown a clinical efficacy of up to 83%. It has an onset of action of 10-15 minutes and its effects can last over 4 hours.[citation needed]
Vacuum device
These work by placing the penis in a vacuum cylinder device. The device helps draw blood into the penis. A ring at the base of the penis help maintain the erection. This type of device is sometimes referred to as penis pump and may be used just prior to sexual intercourse.
Hormone treatment
It is rare, but some men receive hormones for their erection problem. This does depend on the cause of the problem as well as other factors.
Surgery
Often, as a last resort if other treatments have failed, the most common procedure is prosthetic implants which involves the insertion of artificial rods into the penis.[26]
Counselling
Counselling is often a consideration, both where a psychological cause is suspected or must be ruled out, or to assist in management of any distress.
ED can in many cases be treated by drugs taken orally, injected, or as penile suppositories. These drugs increase the efficacy of NO, which dilates the blood vessels of corpora cavernosa. When oral drugs or suppositories fail, injections into the erectile tissue of the penile shaft are extremely effective but occasionally cause priapism. When pharmacological methods fail, a purpose-designed external vacuum pump can be used to attain erection, with a separate compression ring fitted to the penis to maintain it. These pumps should be distinguished from other "penis pumps" (supplied without compression rings) which, rather than being used for temporary treatment of impotence, are claimed to increase penis length if used frequently, or vibrate as an aid to masturbation.
More drastically, inflatable or rigid penile implants may be fitted surgically. Implants are irreversible and costly.
All these mechanical methods are based on simple principles of hydraulics and mechanics and are quite reliable, but have their disadvantages.
In a few cases there is a vascular problem which can be treated surgically.

In any case, good luck on getting your erections back.  (+ info)

What is the disadvantage of having mitral valve dysfunction?

I want to know whether there will be a change in blood pressure due to mitral dysfunction. Is there any complications connected with this malfunction.
----------

Speaking for myself only, no there has not been a change in blood pressure. I have mitral valve dysfunction with regeratation in the mirtal and tricuspid valves.
Most people live symptom free with no radical changes after many many years post diagnosis.
Some people have symptoms, like me.
Mostly you have to know how bad your miral valve is and why. There are several reasons why you would have mvp or dysfunction. If your is mild then you will probably never know why you have the problem and will probably never be medicaly treated for it.

What are your experiences with sexual dysfunction while on SSRI antidepressants?

Do some of you have anorgasmia (not being able to orgasm) while taking SSRI antidepressants? Or not? Which SSRI seems to have the least amount of sexual dysfunction? If you do have sexual dysfunction while on an SSRI how do you go about telling your sexual partner about it? Are you honest with them?
----------

I've had some problems with SSRI. Be honest with him, but also be willing to explore. When I was younger I thought orgasm was what it was all about. Now I have discovered sensuallity and there are multiple avenues. Also we have found that many times playfullness has ended up in orgasm. There are psycological factors in this. The self fullfilling prophecy "I can't achieve orgasm, therefore don't try." By enjoying each other's closeness you may be surprised what happens.  (+ info)

Can a man with Erectile dysfunction ejaculate in a woman and get her pregnant?

I was curious if men with Erectile problems can still get a woman pregnant. My boyfriend has erectile dysfunction and we had unprotected sex. Is it still possible for me to get pregnant? Can a man with that type of problem even ejaculate or is it impossible for them?
----------

Erectile Dysfunction means that the man would have trouble getting and/or maintaining an erection. Ejaculation is a completely different issue. So long as he can ejaculate and is producing viable sperm, he can still get you pregnant. If you've engaged in unprotected sex within the last 72 hours, you can still take Plan B, which is an emergency contraceptive available at your local pharmacy without a prescription. Also, unless your boyfriend is older than 40, he shouldn't be having ED. If he is, he should see his physician as soon as possible as this can be an indication of several serious conditions which include, but are not limited to, insufficient testosterone, Prolactin-secreting tumors, heart disease, cardiovascular problems; the list goes on.

Get your boyfriend to the doctor and get Plan B.  (+ info)
