Night Blindness...??

I have what doctors call night blindness. Although a doctor didn't tell me that, I researched it online when I noticed I started seeing glare off traffic lights and headlights when I drive at night. So my question is, should I wear glasses at night? Or does it really depend on the severity of it? Thanks for the help! :D

I don't know much about them, but is "night blindness" a possible symptom? I know they impact vision but I'm interested in just that symptom.
Loss of peripheral vision is a sign of pituitary tumor. That is from pressure on the optic nerve.
When you have a pituitary tumor, you are checked by optic field tests so as to see how the optic nerve is or is not effected.  (+ info)

I have been diagnosed with myopia(nearsightedness) so I have glasses to help me see at a distance but I believe that my vision is worse at night than it is during the day. Even with glasses, I still have a considerable amount of trouble seeing at night. This can make driving at night really nervewracking so I try to limit my nighttime driving. This one time, I almost got into an accident because I had trouble seeing even with my glasses.
There are things you can do to help with night blindness. Yellow lenses or the anti reflective coating on your eyeglass lenses will help reduce glare at night and make it much easier to drive. Call you optician.  (+ info)

i have nightblindess but i dont know the cause. I have a very good retina specialist, and he sees no problem. My general optomologist also sees no problem. what other cause could there be? and how can i fix it? are most nigght blindness cureable?
Night blindness is not curable and it is much more common in women than in men. I have a mild case of it and I avoid driving at night whenever I can. If I have to drive at night, then I wear some yellow tinted glasses made for skeet shooters. I know it sounds weird but they help a lot. Good luck!! : /  (+ info)

I suffer from night blindness and can't seem to find someone who can diagnose me or recommend a treatment. I would like to know what you know about it. Any information will do!
There is a simple test using a light box. However though I saw one as a student, which incidentally showed that I have the problem, I have never seen one since, nor have I ever come across any patient tested in this way.

I suspect the armed forces do the test, but I can think of few other reasons to carry it out, especially since there is no available treatment. Possibly if you had a specific reason for having a problem with defective night vision, (interestingly it is not a DVLA requirement since good headlights make it a non issue.) you could ask your GP to find out if the local neurologist has one.  (+ info)

I have heard that Crohns Disease can cause "night blindness" is this true?

I have had Crohns Disease for many years and have difficulties driving on unlit roads. I read somewhere that this "night blindness" is a symptom of Crohns Disease. Is this true and does anybody else have the same difficulty?
Night blindness is usually a result of deficiency of Vitamin A. This fat soluble vitamin might be poorly absorbed from the intestine in people with conditions like extensive or severe Crohns due to decreased normal mucosal absorptive surface area.
Crohns can also occasionally have extra-intestinal manifestations including inflammation of the eye (episcleritis, uveitis, etc) but this would cause symptoms all the time, not just at night. In summary, night blindness is not a symptom of Crohns, but can be a consequence of intestinal involvement.  (+ info)

I see some lines and stuff moving around and crap IDK I can't really explain sometimes it's bad and sometimes its good when I blink my eyes really fast I see them in 3D
