The doctor found a large tumor in my sinus, what's the possibility of it being cancerous?

I had an MRI done on my head and the doctor found a large tumor in my right sinus that's totally obstructing it. There's a history of cancer in my family and I just wanted to know what you all think my chances are or if any of you all have had a sinus tumor.
Make sure that anyone who biopsies or removes that growth is familiar with cancers that grow in that area, just in case.  (+ info)

I had surgery a year ago but the tumor is coming back. Its obstructs my breathing and bleeds allot so now I will be doing radiation. I know that it will make me feel bad but I wanna do what I can to make myself stronger. Any suggestions? im 29 and pretty active.
the first thing is you need to pray to God. it does not matter what religion but get one if you dont' have one that is half the battle and then you can just put your mind at ease. you must knwo that you are going through this to prevent something really bad from happening and its best to do this. its killing the thing and that is what you need hopefully they will get it all out. you have to learn to eat good adn keep strong till its over with. take care.  (+ info)

I was just wondering If this type of cancer is making him suffer? He doesnt seem to be in pain but I want to know if he is...
i just dont want him to suffer cause i love him dearly and it just hurts me knowing that he is dying. I only want whats best for him...i just hope he isnt suffering

i don't really think i have an answer but i wanted to give you my empathy.
my dog, a rottweiler, was 'diagnosed' with a leukemia type condition.
we gave her a blood transfusion and i think that killed her :(
my dog became weaker as time went on.
i couldn't bare to see her somedays it was just so bad.
i don't want to be a depressant and since this is different,
i truly pray your dog doesn't go through this.

I have had a sinus infection for six weeks it was always a numbness in my forehead and pain between my eyes when i would take medicine it would go away but now im seeing another doctor and he gave me avalox he tells me my septum is bent that whats causing all the numbness and tingling sensation. I am super nervous that it is anxiety I can still exercise and everything but when i feel the tingling and the numbness I think its a tumor and I get scared please help.

Sounds crazy but I have sinus headaches along with a big bump on the top of my head. Whenever my sinus hurt that bump hurts also, pressure I guess. Will the CT scan determine something wrong with my brain?

I get pressure in my head, which I think might be a tumor. I take sudafed and it relieves the pressure. If I had a tumor, would sudafed still relieve the sensation of pressure?

Also does sudafed cure sinus problems, or does it just suppress the sensation of pressure?
Aside from the pressure, what makes you think you have a brain tumor? A tumor can only be diagnosed by a brain scan.

I'm worried that it's a tumor, the appointment is made for the Ear Nose and Throat Specialist already, but I'm anxious. Late 20's age. Past surgery as a kid for sinus issues.

Anyways, can this sub mandibular area grow and shrink within hours if it were a tumor? Can tumors do that even? It's been there for about 5 years.
Sounds like a swollen gland...which is a sign of a possible infection. Tumors don't swell and go away like you described. 5 years is a long time! If you have jaw pain it may be TMJ. Your ENT should be able to diagnose it.  (+ info)

Brain Tumor or Sinus Problem?

Ok here it goes. For the past 4 days (I think) I've been having an odd headache on just the left side of my head right just above my temple. I've recently taken midterm exams so this could be from stress. But I'm on Christmas break right now so I'm not stressed. Anyway the headache is pretty bad, but it feels like pressure there, like a sinus problem. My tongue sorta has this dry feeling like a sinus thing but my nose isn't that clogged up. The headache worsens when I bend over (this has happened before tho when I had a sinus infection). But then why is it only on one side of my head? I'm scared.
What does your doctor say about this one? Or have you not bothered to see a doctor.

If it's a sinus infection (which is probable, they're not always bilateral), you will need antibiotics, and that means a doctor.

If it's a tumor, you still need a doctor.

And a one-sided headache could be a migraine, but again, SEE A DOCTOR.  (+ info)
