Reiter Syndrome
(Reiter's Disease)


A complex multisystem syndrome due to immune response to a urogenital or enteric infection. It is characterized by a triad of inflammation involving the eye (conjunctivitis), the bone (POST-INFECTIOUS arthritis), and the urethra (urethritis). Mucocutaneous lesions often are present. Most patients possess the hla-b27 antigen.
