Mitral valve prolapse
(Floppy Mitral Valve; Mitral Click-Murmur Syndrome; Systolic Click-Murmur Syndrome)


Abnormal protrusion of one or both of the leaflets of the mitral valve into the left atrium during systole. This may be accompanied by mitral regurgitation, systolic murmur, nonejection click, or cardiac arrhythmia.
