A syndrome of hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low blood platelets count (thrombocytopenia). hellp syndrome is observed in pregnant women with pre-eclampsia or ECLAMPSIA who also exhibit liver damage and abnormalities in blood coagulation.
