What kind of doctor should I see for neck injuries?

So I had an neck injury back in Freshmen year of college, which has been 5 years now. I saw a chiropractor when it first happened, did really do anything.

Couple month ago I saw another chiropractor for some adjustments, didn't seem like it did anything either.

Maybe I should see a real neck doctor. What kind of doctor should I be looking for?

Orthopedic doctor or a neurologist.♥  (+ info)

What is a fun low impact exercise for someone with neck/shoulder injuries?

I am looking for some fun kind of team sport or exercise I can do. I have bad disks in my neck and get very bad muscle spasms in my shoulders. I used to play hockey and bike ride, but I quit hockey because it was making it worse. It has to be something I can do in the winter, preferably indoors. I am 23 years old.
----------

I would try swimming if you have access to a pool. It is gentle and low impact.  (+ info)

is it possible to get head and neck injuries after riding in a very bumpy truck or bus?

I recently rode in a mtruck that was very bouncy. It got to the point when it felt like I was sick to my stomach and I never get motion sickness from riding in a car. Eventually, the truck broke down on the side of the highway but thats beside the point. Anyway, I am concerned that all of the bouncing cause internal injuries including brain. Does this sound reasonable?
----------

No your body naturally cushions your internal organs. Unless something actually bluntly impacted your body by physical hits, you are not injured. You may be experienceing some whiplash effects where your head and neck hurt from constant jerking motions.  (+ info)

Is it possible to make a personal injury claim for minor injuries such as bruising and neck pain?

I was involved in a road traffic accident and the other party has admitted full liability as the driver and me as the pedestrian. Although my injuries were minor and I was fully recovered after 1 week, I wonder am I entitled to any compensation for the pain caused?
----------

You need to have suffered some kind of loss or trauma and I think what you describe is too minor. However as liability has been admitted you might want to go to a no win no fee lawyer but my best guess is that the injury you describe is only worth lost earnings plus a couple of hundred quid at most.....  (+ info)

Tips for toning the abdomen w/ neck & back injuries?

I am seeking any tips to help tone the abdominal area w/ neck & back injuries. I am currently participating in daily cardio sessions of at least 20 minutes, including a standing abs workout. It is difficult for me to do crunching motions & ball workouts. I also do some pilates sets that don't include the crunching motion, but seem to work the lower abs a bit. I am open to any other suggestions to change it up a bit.
Thanks!

Can possible neck injuries get worse over 6 months time?

I was hit on the head by a falling tree and have possible vertigo plus constant neck pain. The waiting time to get cheap physiotherapy is 6 months and with the way things are going, anything cheap is good.

Is it too long to wait and will the pain get worse over 6 months? or am I fine waiting.

Thanks for responses.

How common are back and neck injuries from back flips?

I was looking to try and learn how to do a back flip, but am concerned with any health issues that might pop up. I do taekwondo and I have heard that it is easier for those who do martial arts or gimnastics.
----------

You should try it on a mattress first, most back flip neck injuries are from people who don't take their time, and they just try it on the Ground fro the first time, You should use a mattress first. :)  (+ info)

Or could this be something else......I sometimes experience a prickly sensation on my shoulders, around my neck, and on my face. I also experience it on the palms of my hands.
