What's the best treatment for shoulder subluxation?

I have been diagnosed with moderate shoulder subluxation. I have been in physical thearpy now for about three weeks. Still no relief. Still in alot of pain with some limited motion and at times numbness down to hands. Nothing I seem to do helps. I've tried heat, ice, I've been doing all my exercises. I'm taking naproxen. They also said possible clavicle problem and loose shoulder blade as well. What else can I do?
----------

Your recovery will actually be quite lengthy for this...it really could take several months of continuing your home exercise program. Your therapy is meant to try to increase the strength of the muscles to substitute for ligamentous laxity.

I'd keep up the program as long as it isn't making your worse...if you are no better, I would follow up with an orthopedist regarding thermal shrinkage of the capsule or a capsular shift procedure.  (+ info)

How long would a 414 mL bottle of contact lens solution last for two people?

I am going on a trip for about 25 days. My plan is to bring one new 414 mL (14 fl oz) bottle of contact lens solution. However, my friend wears contacts too; and we are planning to share the contact lens solution, if possible. We usually don't fill our containers all the way up to the fill line--just enough to cover each contact lens. Would one bottle last for us both?
----------

It won't period. All practioners will warn you not to share this stuff...too easy to spread eye infections. I've worn contacts forever; I'd no more share lens solution than I would share a toothbrush. Nasty!  (+ info)

How can I make the lens on my sunglasses darker?

I love the frame of my sunglasses, but I hate how the lens AREN'T dark enough. Is there a way I can darken the lens? Like is there a place I can get the light lens replaced with darker lens?
----------

If they are high quality sunglasses, don't even try to coat the lenses with anything as you may damage the various coatings that are on the lenses, such as UV protection, dirt/dust/oil repellants/polarisation etc.

If they are cheap sunglasses, just get another pair as the material the lenses are made of may not cope with additional substances being painted on.

If you love the frames, get the lenses replaced at the opticians although this may not be any cheaper than buying new ones as the lenses may have to made specifically.

good luck

How could I wear a color contact lens without my eyes red and a headache?

I love wearing color contact lens (freshlooks), but my eyes get really red and irritated, sometimes with headache. Even if I start out using new contact lens I kept everything clean, I still got the same problem.
----------

Red eyes can be caused from a number of things. Over wearing your lenses, old/dirty lenses, improper fit, sensitivity to solutions, etc... Are you having any other problems associated with the redness? Pain? The feeling of something in your eye? Sensitivity to light? Itchiness? Burning? The only way to diagnose exactly what's going on is to see your eye doctor. Good luck!   (+ info)

What happens when the lens is removed from a baby for cataracts before fittied with contacts?

My grandson is 1 year old with cataracts and is having surgery. They are removing his lens but will not be fitted with contacts for 3 weeks. I want to know if anyone knows how limted his sight will be?
----------

Sight is not very limited by removal of the lens at all. Most of the refractive power of the eye comes from the cornea. The lens contributes only a small amount to the refraction of vision.

His sight will not be noticeably impaired.  (+ info)

How can a reinsert a lens into its rim in a pair of sunglasses after it fell out?

I accidentally left my sunglasses in my backpack and the lens fell out. I've tried to get it back in but I couldn't. How can I accomplish this?
----------

Use a cloth to hold the sides in while you are putting pressure on the lens to fit into the inner side of the frame. Most of the frames nowadays have a bit of elasticity so that neither they nor the lens break on forcing.  (+ info)

What does a doctor do during a contact lens fitting and what is it for?

I about to get contacts and I wanted to know what happens during a contact lens fitting. Does the doctor actually touch your eyes or do you try different lens out?
----------

you put the contacts on your eyes yourself and the doctor will test your sight again to make sure you can see. he will look at the contact up close to make sure it rests in your eye as needed.  (+ info)
