How much does it cost to get a mole removed?

I want to get a mole removed from a face, and 2 moles that are on my stomach.

Is it better to buy the at-home removals? Or go to a dermatologist?

And how much will it cost?

How much should it cost to get a mole removed?

I have a mole in the center of my scalp, that has been growing and my doctor recommends that I get it removed. How much would that cost, and by which method would they use? Also, is it painful to have a mole removed?
----------

i had mine removed from a dermatologist who charged me $200. I don't know if thats expensive or not, but thats how much they charged me... seemed a bit expensive at the time.

Mine was taken off by laser, it's left a bit of a scar too. but it's better than having the mole i guess!  (+ info)

How to cover a slightly raised mole on the middle of your neck?

I hate wearing ponytails cause it makes me self concious about the big, dark mole on my neck. I need to wear ponytails because I now do serious soccer. Any ideas how to cover it up or get rid of it?
----------

There is laser mole removal. You will have to undergo more than one treatment (the minimum is usually 3 treatments.) Unfortunately, it is considered a cosmetic procedure so there is probably no chance of your insurance covering it. Also, it will not help ALL moles. The laser will not treat deep moles because it does not penetrate deep enough.

There is also mole removal where the mole area is numbed and they use a scalpel to cut the mole. It usually takes way less than an hour. A little scar is a risk. This is also considered cosmetic so insurance will not pay for it most likely.

There is usually financing available at the doctor's office.

The mole removal will probably be a few hundred dollars (under $500).

Can a pigmented mole be flattened without losing the pigment?

Hey everyone,

I have a protruding mole that is also pigmented. I wanted to know if it is possible to flatten moles without losing the pigment.

I think they just cut them off. But you could cover the scar with a tattoo that looks just like it if you really wanted to, I know someone that did that above their lip.  (+ info)

What is a good way to cover up a mole on my leg?

This mole has been bothering me for years.
I have been putting band-aids over it to hide it, but that also gets annoying.

Are there any cover-up brands or natural remedies to hide this mole?
----------

Get it removed! It doesn't hurt, I got one removed on my hand and during the process I thought he was just starting when he was stitching it up. I used to put a band aid over mine to, haha.  (+ info)

How do you remove a permanent skin mole?

I have a tiny black mole on my cheekbone. Whether or not it's a beauty mark, I think it looks ugly. Is there a way to remove it?
It's not cancerous or anything, its just a beauty mark.
----------

Your doc shoud be able to remove that. I had one on my leg removed a few years ago. All she did was just freeze the area, and then but it out. A few dissolving stitches, and viola! No more mole. It only take a few minutes, but if it's considered cosmetic, your insurance might not cover it, so check that out beforehand. But it's a quick and pretty painless procedure, and well worth it if it really bugs you. But I don't think there's an at home way to remove a mole.  (+ info)

What is the best type of mole for turkey enchiladas?

If I make turkey enchiladas in mole what is the best style of mole to put on them… There are so many… I will most definitely use a premade mole so any tips (brand name, doctoring it up to taste better) in that regard would be appreciated.
----------

CHICKEN MOLE AND/OR ENCHILADA SAUCE

1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. oil
1 sm. pkg. chili powder
2 cans chicken broth
1 envelope chili mix
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 block Mexican chocolate
6-8 chicken breast halves, boneless and skinless

Fry the flour in the 1/4 cup oil. Add the chili powder and cook slowly for 1 minute. Add the chicken broth, chili mix, garlic salt and chocolate. Add chicken breasts and simmer for 45 minutes over medium to low heat. 4 servings.
This can be used as an excellent enchilada sauce. Just omit the chocolate and chicken and use the sauce in your favorite recipe.
