Hydatidiform Mole, can a woman that didn't had sex have it?

because as i've read it only happens because of an abnormal trophoblast, and trophoblast are part of a fertilized egg

but i know an older woman who claims she never had sex but the she just had a hysterctomy because she had a 3 Ibs H.Mole.

so is it possible to have H.mole even withouth sexual intercourse?
and what if it's not a H. mole, what other kind of growth that can grow inside the uterus? that are common for women 40 above?
Well... besides fibroids, anything else that grows but with no pain, what Mayoma by the way?
I mean what is Myoma?
----------

She had sex. A hydatidiform mole is a rare mass or growth that forms inside the uterus at the beginning of a pregnancy. It literally looks like a cluster of grapes.

edit: A myoma is a fibroid tumor that grows into the myometrium (muscle part) of the uterus. I know because I have one.  (+ info)

diagnosis for hydatidiform mole?

all i know in h-mole is that your human chorionic gonadotropin hormone are in high levels and in having this h-mole you may experience pain to your lower abdomen because of the high amount of HCG hormone since this hormone's action is somehow directed to the uterine lining since its real function is to maintain pregnance among pregnant women...i think you should go directly to your physician to have an examination...  (+ info)

How to melt chicken mole from the jar?

I am going to attempt to make chicken mole in a crock pot but I want to try melting the mole prior to so that I can just throw it in with my chicken broth and chicken. In the past, when I cooked chicken mole on the stove, I tried melting it in a pot on the stove but it just jumped up like peanut butter. Has anyone ever melted it successfully before cooking it with the chicken and broth?
Also, do you know how to remove the lid? My husband usually does it but he is already asleep.
----------

Put the Mole in a double boiler, add 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. After 20 minutes mix and smooth mixture. Dont add just tap water, but broth is the best. But stir as it warms.  (+ info)

What could make a mole start to go away?

My husband has a mole and it started to get bigger a couple of years ago. Now all of a sudden it is going away. It looks like a bunch of smaller moles. The area of it is getting smaller each day.
----------

I really can not tell you what the cause of the changes of the mole is. I would very much encourage your husband to please make an appointment with a dermatologist right away and keep it. Sometimes people may develop cancer of the skin which is very serious. I am not trying to diagnose the mole. I am not a doctor. I do know that melanoma is extremely serious.  (+ info)

How to treat a facial mole that gets inflamied?

My daughter has a pin head sized mole on her chin. It doesn't have much pigment in it, but from time to time it gets inflamed and looks more like a pimple. Does anyone know what will help the inflammation? I have scheduled an appoinmtment with a dermotologist, but just wondered if there are any home remedies for this problem. When the inflammation is gone, it goes back to the small pin head sized mole.
----------

You could try a warm compress on it when it's inflamed. Seeing the dermotologist is probably your best luck.  (+ info)

What does it mean when a small area of a mole turns slightly darker?

I used to have a that was somewhat shaped like a heart. But now that spot is being filled so now the mole looks more like a circle/oval. Is a possible for a part of a mole to go from lightish to dark(matching the rest of the mole) in a month with out it being a problem?
Actually, looking at it again. It looks either the same, or even slightly smaller.
----------

Just to be on the safe side, get it checked out.  (+ info)

How old do I have to be to get a mole removed?

I heard that you have to be an adult to get a mole removed, but some people say that younger people can have moles removed too. I'm 14 and the mole is on my face, so if I can, then I'm going to the doctor for the procedure. Thanks!
----------

If the mole is large enough for you to want it removed, then there is a good chance that removing it will also be justified for health reasons as well. You can have moles removed at any age, just be aware that sometimes the scar that might be left can be worse than the mole itself.  (+ info)

How do I get rid of a mole on my face without going for a surgery to remove it?

I have a small flat mole near my lips. Is there any way for me to remove it without going to see the dermatologist to have it surgically removed? Tried cutting it out with a razor blade but the mole just seems to reappear again. Is there any way to get rid of this annoying thing?

What is the deal with having a mole underneath one of your eyes?

I have a mole underneath my left eye. I have seen movies, cartoons, things on tv where they portrayed people with this beauty mark as something symbolic. I don't know how to explain it, I remember people on tv who had these marks are either portrayed as sexy or something. What is symbolize of having a mole underneath your eye?

Marilyn Monroe had one. It's paying homage to her.  (+ info)

How to remove a mole (caused by a scab) at home?

I had a little scab on my face which eventually stuck on my face, and it's like a tiny little mole now. So do you know any home remedies(?) to make it disappear?
----------

Hi, I suppose that this is not a mole, because you said "it's like a tiny little mole". So if it is not a mole and is some kind of skin disorder caused by a scab you should try to hydrate the place and to help your skin to recover. Use extract of marigold (Calendula officinalis) see Wikipedia here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calendula. You could find such extract in the local pharmacy. It is not expensive. If you prefer you could use some cosmetic face cream that contains marigold.  (+ info)
