How to get rid of condylomata accuminata?

Please, do not mention these ways:
Imiquimod, (Aldara®) a topical immune response cream which you can apply to the affected area
A 20% podophyllin anti-mitotic solution, which you can apply to the affected area and later wash off
A 0.5% podofilox solution, applied to the affected area but shouldn’t be washed off
A 5% 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) cream
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA)
Pulsed dye laser
Liquid nitrogen cryosurgery

The website for the comparative study of systemic interferon alfa-2a with oral isotretinoin and oral isotretinoin alone in the treatment of recurrent condylomata accuminata is listed below. You could check that out.  (+ info)

Condyloma acuminata in the auditory canals (ears)?

For 2.5 years I probably suffer from condyloma acuminata, but only in the ears, no genitals. I haven't found information in the internet about this specific problem, so probably it is quite rare.

In the last 6 months it became unberable. It is very itchy, sometimes bleeds. I've got lots of medicament, and nothing helped, also not the Aldara creme, so a few days ago I was opperated with laser.

In a funny way, the other ear is reacting terribly at the moment. I have a very painful infection, that doesnt go away, and I am living on "pain killers". The doctors are waiting with the other surgery.

My questions are the following:

1. Where do I find information about this disease regarding the ears?
2. What can I do to get rid of it?
3. Is it possible to be opperated also with a general anaesthesia?
4. How long before the surgery shouldn't I drink?

Thanks a lot
I know, I know, this is the reaction I get from every doctor, but the medical checks show that what I have it is a kind of Condyloma acuminata virus, and I have no idea how and where could I get it from.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000886.htm

i got this passage from the above site.
There are more than 70 different types of HPV. Several types are associated with genital warts. Other types are associated with common or flat warts elsewhere on the skin.

if you click on warts from this passage and then on illustrations on the next page, it shows a picture of warts around the face and ears.

also on this same page you can click on treatments. one of them is using duct tape.

i hope this helps.
good luck.  (+ info)

Condylomata?

I am a guy and have been diagnosed with condylomata (Genital Warts) and I am going for a surgical laser treatment, can I get advice and support.
----------

my biggest advice is make sure that you're tested a few weeks after the treatment to make sure that you are not a carrier for HPV. If you are, you are putting any woman at risk for cervical cancer if you sleep with them; even if w/ protection. Talk to your doctor for more info.

Best of luck  (+ info)

What kind of banana leaves can be used in cooking?

I was wondering if any banana leaf could be used in cooking or if it was only some specific types of banana plants that made the right leaves. I have one "musa rojo" and about 16 "musa acuminata" plants and one other type of banana plant that produces green foliage with no red markings even in full sun (was sold to me as a musa acuminata, but lacks the red markings on the leaves that all my other musa acuminatas get when they are in full sun).
I wanted to know if I could use my banana leaves in cooking. I live in Quebec (Canada) and there aren't any stores that sell banana leaves around here so the only way I can get banana leaves is by growing them myself.

In Central America, they make tamales using plantain leaves instead of corn husks.  (+ info)

Can anyone tell me about Condyloma Acuminata (HPV Virus)?

HPV strands 16,18, 30, 31, and some in the 50's have a high potential to turn in to cervical cancer.
There is a vaccine out against most of these strains.
The HPV virus is a Latent virus, which means that it is always around once you catch it.
Sometimes people can ( very small percentage people) Clear this spontaneously, or with cryo, or laser therapy.
However, people carry the warts that can spread, and yes people can catch it even when asymptomatic.  (+ info)

Which banana leaf species are edible? and how to make bananas keep on growing during winter(indoors)?

I have 2 questions

I have to put my banana plants indoors during winter because I am only in zone 4b-5a, and during winter they don't grow, they just make more leaves at the same height. Anyone have any tips on making them grow faster, make more pups (suckers, baby plants) or make them keep growing during winter?I fertilise them
----------

1. The only edible form of the banana leave I've seen is the banana blossom which I've seen in cans at the Asian market.

2. In regards to being in zone 4b-5a. I would think you'll need a green house or an area that is warm with lots of light or artificial light to encourage continued growth. From what I've read, the musa acuminata continues to grow at temperatures between 55F and 80F... of course you'd want to be warmer than 55F.  (+ info)
