How soon after I finish my anitibiotics for a urinary tract infection can I have sex?
I was prescribed antibiotics for three days (6 pills, 2 a day) for a urinary tract infection. Last night I took my final pill at 8pm and I am wondering when I can have sex again. I am worried about getting another UTI.
If I have sex tonight what are the chances of getting a UTI?

You can have sex at any time. If you are on antibiotics it won't spread to your partner. It's up to you whenever you feel well enough to have sex again. Make sure to clean up before and after sex. Also go pee after sex! (

When is it OK for me to start working out again after a pretty serious urinary tract infection?
I had a pretty serious urinary tract infection, they had to give me some pretty strong antibiotics for me to even start feeling relatively better. I've been taking these ones since Monday, feel MUCH better, but it is a 14 day supply they're giving me. How long should I wait before I start working out again?

Women in general are more susceptible because the length of the urethra is much shorter than men's, making it easier for bacteria to traverse that length to the bladder. Also, gastrointestinal bacteria can easily make the journey from the anus through the intravaginal opening to the urethra with improper toilet habits (wipe from front to back!). Sexual intercourse may also contribute to introducing bacteria into the urethra. Cranberry is thought to be helpful in that it acidifies the urinary tract (as well as other parts of the body), but I would not rely on that to cure an infection. (Acidification inhibits bacterial growth.) It may be helpful in prevention. (

My Mom was in a lot of pain the other night, and we thought it was a Kidney Stone for a couple days. But, then she went to the doctor, and prescribed some medicines, got a massage, and had a cat scan. The results showed no stone(s). When you try to go pee do you find it really really hard to go? And then you only pee like a teaspoon of liquid and then immediately feel like you still have to go? That's what happens when i get one. I have never gone to the doctors for one. It usually clears up in a day or two. Drink lots of water and CRANBERRY JUICE! It helps . But make sure your getting real juice. Not the coctail kind with only 13% juice and most of it isn't cranberry. 100% cranberry juice only. They also sell a pill that helps relieve the symptoms of urinary track infections. It's called AZO.
If it doesn't clear up in a couple days i would advise seeing a doctor. It could be serious. (
