I have intracranial hypertension (can lead to blindness) and fasting is this safe I got save my eyes?

I have been on a low calorie diet for 2 months and I have lost 35 lbs in 2 months I also walked 3-5 miles a day to reverse the intracranial hypertension. This illness increases pressure on the optic nerve and causes it to become damaged and you can go blind. The most effective way to end this illness is weight lost. I am 25 and do not want to go blind! Any ideas!
----------

Yes intracranial hypertension is a dangerous disease in the sense of blindness.

Losing weight should be done in a gradual manner, otherwise the sudden weight loss can also increase the pressure in your head.

It is also not healthy to lose weight so abruptly, amy also cause fatty liver leading to cirrhosis.  (+ info)

is tuberculoma of the lungs communicable?

not active, sputum test result is neg.what can you suggest the case is?
----------

You have used a precise term "Tuberculoma" which means ther is a nodule of tuberculosis in the lung or other part of body. In lung they can be seen on XRay but at othr parts biopsy is required. Patient who has tuberculoma in lung may or may not spread this disease depending whether or not he is shedding the bacilli in sputum or not. Sputum test is the ideal test for this (Sputum is collected and tested for 3 cosecutive days), if it is positive then surely he can spread it to others (open cases). Most of the tubrculoma are old calcified lesions which are not harmful. Any Open case if treated for 6 weeks (though treatment of TB is for 6 months) doen't remain open

Can an ovarian cyst cause increased intracranial pressure?

Nobody can figure out why the pressure in my head is so high. The last spinal tap it was 41. They also found an ovarian cyst. Could this be causing the pressure to be so high?
----------

Hmm...I'm not sure that the ovarian cyst of average size and location would place enough pressure on the nerves to have an effect on intracranial pressure. Might these be coincident things that have occurred independently and have nothing to do with one another? Are the doctors able to tell you how long the cyst has been there? Perhaps the high pressure you're experiencing predates the cyst. I'd imagine that if you are having spinal taps, a neurologist or other specialist is involved in your care. You haven't mentioned any other health conditions (migraine, seizures, stroke), but could an infection, inflammation related to the cyst growth, an autoimmune or neurological condition (I hate to say it, but stroke or multiple sclerosis) be contributing to your problems? Not to alarm you -- I'm certainly not a specialist of any sort -- but I remembered another post to the site that mentioned raised intracranial pressure in a person with MS in particular. I'm sure that your doctor will have done tests to rule this condition out as well as brain tumors, growths, and damage to the vessels, but it wouldn't hurt to confirm. I do hope that you'll have answers soon.  (+ info)
