Does Sweating Ease Chemotherapy Side Effects?

I'm wondering when somebody has had a dose of Chemotherapy, if their sickness side effects usually last around 4 days, will excess sweating (eg Steam Room or Sauna) help lessen these side effects, because the toxins are being sweated out?

Or will it not make any difference at all?
BSherman - You're a 5 star idiot.
----------

I would think it would certainly help, if not by removing toxins, then perhaps to ease the muscle and bone pain often associated with chemo. I didn't have to worry about saunas as my hormones were really messed up with chemo.. cold sweats, hot sweats were always with me. Now I just feel cold all the time. Best thing to do for at least three days after chemo is to drink lots of water to flush the toxins thru the bladder, liver and kidneys so the poison doesn't sit in those organs and cause problems.  (+ info)

How can I prevent motion sickness?

I have a terrible problem with motion sickness. I only need to get into the back seat of a car and I'm already in cold sweats and dizzy and nauseous. The car doesn't even have to be moving. It doesn't even have to be working! So, you can imagine the issue I have when I travel (by car) from New Jersey to Florida with a 40 lbs dog, my mother, and myself in an Impala. It gets very crowded and very warm and it's a long and bumpy ride. How can I prevent myself from getting nauseous?
----------

whatever you do, don't close your eyes!!! your head will feel the moving but you can't see it, so that is what can get you sick. Bring water, and take a pit stop here in there to get out and walk around.  (+ info)

Anyone know what sickness this could be?

I have frequent headaches, mild nausea that's constant, and sweating interspersed with periods of having chills (not sure if I have a fever or not).

Anyone have any suggestions as to what this could be?
----------

Go to the Doctor or ER. Your running a fever obviously if your sweating and having cold chills. Also could be the flu could be just about anything in the world.  (+ info)

Is this morning sickness or am I going crazy for nothing?

Ok Hi. I woke up this morning and I was looking in the mirror when I started getting really dizzy and everything blacked out. Then I vomited what looked like blood. I got really shaky and broke out into cold sweats. What could this be? It's not morning sickness is it? Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex about 2 days ago; morning sickness doesn't come that early does it?
My bf pulled out though.
----------

It doesn't matter if he pulled out or not, if you have sex, you could be pregnant. You would NOT be having symptoms 2 days after, though.

It does NOT sound like morning sickness to me, it sounds like you aren't eating right, or you have some other intestinal problem. Vomiting blood is NEVER good, and you should see a doctor as soon as possible.  (+ info)

Anyone, have any suggestions on what could be the cause of this sickness?

My husband has been getting sick every two months, for the past 4-5 years! We have scene every specialist in half the state. He gets dehydrated, vomiting which looks like coffee grounds, cold sweats, (will soak the bed with sweat) Sometimes, his sleep is so deep, he can't be woke up! He remains in hospital for about a week each time he get sick. Anyone have any suggestions on what could be the cause of this sickness?

coffee grounds is usually the sign of bleeding in the stomach. he should have had an endoscopy. has he?  (+ info)

What was the most embarrassing place you threw up at while your morning sickness was bad?

I threw up on myself and all over the car while I was driving on the freeway when I was 13 weeks pregnant with Olivia. I was on the way to get my hair done for my wedding reception and had to get off an exit at my parents house to change into some sweats. That was ironically the last time I got sick throughout my pregnancy.
----------

I think for me the most embarrassing moment was when i threw up at my mother in law's bathroom
i didn't even make it to the toilet
i threw up all over the toilet seat cover & the bathroom mat..

another time in my mother in law's sink..

i know they were not in public places but oh god every time i went to my mother in law's home i would throw up which was pretty embarrassing for me..

but i only got morning sickness my first trimester..
there are girls that get it all through their pregnancy  (+ info)

Is excessive sweating on the facial area bad?

I sweat easily especially in the facial area. My face will sweat a lot and surprisingly sweat actually comes out from my eye bags. Other than that, it also comes out from the area between my lips and nose, the forehead and below my mouth. I normally need a towel to wipe my face if the weather is hot. Tissues just disintegrate very fast. Is this bad or a sign of some sickness?
----------

It means you either need to drink alot more water or eat a bit more...or possibly less salt. I work alot and i sweat constantly..so no, u arent sick, but try to make sure you are kept hydrated and have plenty of nurishment in you.  (+ info)
