Hey there, there are a lot of questions here with very in depth answers. I would like for you to go to wrongdiagnosis.com (The name has nothing to do with anything, I don't know why they named it that) Anyway, type in spermatocele and it will give you topics and answers to every question you have posted. Another great one for all of this information (My favorite) is webmd.com

You might want to look up spermatozoa also.

You will find everything you need to know at these 2 sites, I would just be typing everything they have already done for me :)

By the way, 4-5 times a week is not excessive.

Good luck!  (+ info)

spermatocele

Definition
By Mayo Clinic staff

A spermatocele is a cyst that develops in the epididymis — the small, coiled tube situated in the upper testicle that collects and transports sperm. Generally painless and noncancerous, a spermatocele usually is filled with milky or clear fluid that may contain sperm.

Spermatoceles are small, usually less than a half-inch (less than 1 centimeter) in diameter, although some may be larger. Most of the volume of the cyst is fluid.

Spermatoceles are common, affecting as many as three in 10 American men. They typically don't impair fertility or require treatment. If a spermatocele grows large enough to cause discomfort, your doctor may suggest surgery.  (+ info)

Do I have a spermatocele????

I have a lump on the top of my right testicle, but the lump itself isn't on the testicle. The lump is on top of the testicle so it must be on the epididymis, which is one sign of a spermatocele. The lump is only like 1 if at most 2 cm big, another sign of a spermatocele. Do you guys think it sounds like a spermatocele, if not what could it be? I am really hoping it is a spermatocele since they don't have to be operated on or anything.

Spermatocele and other cysts?

So about a year or so ago i went to the doctor because i found a lump near my right testicle. The urologist ruled out that it wasn't cancer and said that he wouldn't remove it because it would mess with my fertility. It's been about a year and a half or so later and sometimes the area that the lump is in hurts. it would typically be like for a few minutes or so and it would be quite random when the pain would flare up.

However lately the pain has been more frequent and slightly more irritating and it's been more constant it hurts like for a good half an hour or a couple times through out the day and this has been going on for about a week or so. So i was wondering is it possible for Spermatocele and cystes to grow? i think mine's grow slightly but i'm not too sure. Also if it is possible to get it removed how painful is the surgery? do they knock you out when they perform it?
----------

It's entirely possible that you were improperly diagnosed. Did they do a biopsy? Yes, it may not be cancer, but it might be something other than what the urologist thought. Don't trust your health to fate. Insist on further medical attention. If they don't knock you out for surgery, they will give you local pain killers. Try to have it evaluated by a different urologist as soon as possible. Sometimes doctors' big egos get in the way of a proper diagnosis. They think they're right. They could be wrong. Doctors are not God, they are human, and some doctors were not that successful in medical school.  (+ info)

I believe I have a Spermatocele on my left testicle.. Is it dangerous?

Let me tell you I am not 100% it is a Spermatocele and am still worried, but I am more sure it is this than anything else. I have looked at pictures (via Google images) and it seems I have a spermatocele. Is it dangerous? Life threatening? Today I am going to tell my mum that I have to go see the doctor and I will see the docotr within the next week, however, should I worry?
I am 15 by the way.

However if I squeeze the lump (Spermatocele?) it does cause me some discomfort and a little pain? I can't explain, not pain as in I'm roling around the floor crying but you know.. This is what worries me.
----------

A squeezable lump doesn't sound like a spermatocele. But to answer your question, no they're not life threatening and are usually caused by some sort of trauma (kicked in the balls). I would recommend you consult a physician and have an ultrasound done.  (+ info)

USMC Hopeful with a Spermatocele?

I plan on enlisting in the United States Marine Corps this November. However, for several years, I have an asymptomatic spermatocele, about the size of a spherical dime. Its not on medical records, and I would rather not disclose it with my recruiter unless nesassary. I have been told by my family doctor that it is harmless, but will MEPS feel the same way, or will I be disqualified? If there are any Marines who have made it through MEPS with this condition, or anyone else with knowledge on the matter, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spermatocele Surgery, can it be to close?

Im having Spermatocele surgery, the one thing i cant find info on is if the Spermatocele is to close to the testicle will they have to remove the testicle with it or will they just leave it alone?
spermatocele is a weakness in the spermatic cord, causing a small cyst. usually not painful, mine is.

Im not going for a vasectomy as i want kids soon.
Jack that link was pointless

What can I expect during recovery from surgery for removal of a spermatocele?

I have a spermatocele, and the doctor told me that I'm free to have it surgically removed whenever I want, but he said that the genital area (or the scrotum I guess?) would be swollen afterwards for up to two months. If you have had surgery for this or for a similar condition in the scrotum, may I ask, about how long was it swollen? Was it noticeable to other people? How long did you have to stay out of work? Did you have to wear looser pants? And also, how was the pain?

My spermatocele is not painful but it has been growing steadily over the years. It started out the size of a pea and now it's about the size of a testicle. I want to get it removed, but I'm concerned about the recovery, so please help if you can.
----------

Get a jock strap or two, you'll want to wear it for support afterwards. I had to have something similar done a few years back. The swelling was gone in a week, and everything was ok in a couple of weeks. However, I did like wearing the jock strap for a while longer. After your nuts are cut into, they appreciate the support for a while.  (+ info)
