why is it that when we sneezing we close our eyes and cant open them, and if we try to open them. we fail, and why does looking at something bright help u in sneezing ?
When you sneeze, not only do you close your eyes, all your muscles contract and your heart stops beating (momentarily I might add).

Otherwise you would basically explode!
I'm not sure why looking at the sun would help you sneeze though, I suppose it might agitate your eyes and in turn your nasal passages? I don't know, just guessing that bit.

i used to sneeze like 1-2 times now i am sneezing like 20-30 times. and i dont have any allergies! the doc. said that too! and i sneeze like all year long! and this is everyday! how many times do you sneeze? and can you help me?
If you tend to be sneezing mostly @ home it could be bad air I have a few air purifiers i run..you could try that even if you sneeze anywhere so that your home air is clean, have you gotten new carpet? or a pet or anything?
And also i would take a over the counter pill like claritin see if it works if it dose then you do have some sort of allergies.....cant hurt to try.. good luck!  (+ info)

Why does the sneezing start when I wake up?

Here's the deal: Allergies are constant in my home, an unchanging environment for the most part. If I have allergies and sleep comfortably through the night, why then does the sneezing start upon awakening and getting out of bed in the morning? If the allergens are present all the time, why no sneezing during sleep? Been wondering this for years! Thanks.
Could be dust mites, gross, but in your bed. Vacuum it regularly and change your sheets weekly. Air purifiers work wonders.  (+ info)

t could just be dust or something. I am allergic to eggs, nuts. seafood, dairy products, gluten, whey, and wheat. Whenever i have a reaction to that i suddenly start sneezing and it sorta turns into a cold.

My friend has allergies and gets very embarrassed when she sneezes a lot in class. Sometimes when she gets going she just can't stop. Often when she starts having sneezing fits she leaves the classroom. Are there any good ways for her to stifle her sneezing? I feel bad for her. Hello. Ive been battling with constant sneezing and a runny nose since i woke up this morning. I dont like medications, so i was wondering if anyone knew any home remedies to stop sneezing and a runny nose.
Chicken soup ! A hot bath or shower will alleviate the symptoms, but not for long.
If you feel a sneeze coming and do not want it to happen, you can apply pressure with your index finger in the space between your nostrils and your upper lip.
