How old do you have to be to get snake bites WITHOUT parental consent in Michigan?

I'm 17 and i want to get snake bites (i'm a guy btw) but my mom won't let me. i was wondering how old i had to be to get them without her in Michigan. I've read that it's 18 and i've read that it's 16. Does anyone know which one it is? Thanks (7^.^)7

Can you do Snake Bites can you do it by doing it with a neddle or do you need a piercing kit. Cause i don't want a professional to do it i just want to do it myself.

ok well yes you will need a hollow tri-beveled needle as for forceps... not really. I have a pair of my own and are handy and cheap $7 but not a lifeline

simply sterilize the needle and jewelry some shops will autoclave them for you.. if not you can boil them and use anti-bacterial soap and hot water...or buy PRE-Sterilized needles... best thing.

1. Rinse your mouth out with mouthwash
2.wash your whole lower lip
3.mark where you want the holes you can also use the rings to figure out where and how far from your lip to put the dot/holes
4.then either use the forceps or your other hand to hold your lip
5.put the tip of the needle to the hole
6.breathe in
7.and breathe out while pushing the needle through (be careful not to poke your gums)
8.angle the needle so it rests on top of your bottom teeth
9.get the jewelry
10.match the end of the ring to the back of the needle
11.hold the needle and use the ring to push out the needle and insert the ring
12.put the needle down and close the ring
*repeat 4-12 on the other side* ;D

clean the little blood dribble and your good to go

How mad would my parents get if i got snake bites?

I asked them if I could get my nose pierced they said ''no'' I really don't want a nose piercing but I knew they would say no to snake bites, but I'm thinking about getting it anyway. I know my mom will notice sooner or later but my dad I do not think he will notice if i take the piercing out, but my mother might. What kind of trouble will I be in I am 17 and will get snake bites I dont care what my parents say i dont see it as a big deal to be honest.
why not wait until your 18 and then what they think won't matter. i have piercings myself and am not against my children getting them when they get older. but i think snakebites look stupid so that would be one they have to wait until they are 18 to get. if they go behind my back then yes they will be punished not for the piercing itself but going against my rules. we are also talking a long hard punishment. grounding for a month, no car, no friends outside of school, no phone, computer time only for school work etc.  (+ info)

I dont think facial piercings are too bad. Then I've only had my monroe done twice. Nothing on the bottom lip. I've also had my smiley...none of them were too bad. I think you should maaan up and do it to it.  (+ info)

And also how do they sit in your mouth? cause i have seen rings and studs, do studs just sit in the flesh or your lip or do they go all the way through? and what does it do to your teeth behind i was just wondering about scratching and also what about the area it sits in, does it widen it or disfigure it?
Hey! I have double snake-bites, so I hope I can answer your question well.

Yes, the piercing goes all the way through your lip. The rings go through the hole and around over your bottom lip to join with the other end of it.

The stud used is called a 'Labret'. These are little metal poles with a flat disc on the end that goes on the inside of your lip so it can't pull through. The ball then screws on the end of it on the outside of your lip.

The piercings don't actually touch your teeth (they might when you first get them done because of the swelling) and if you get rings, it might leave small creases in your lip and the stud will make the inside of your lip a little weird where the hole is, but it will heal up.

To get them out, if it's a ring, simply undo it and pull it out. If it's a stud, screw the ball off of the end and pull out the labret. It's really simple.


If you get them, make sure not to take them out for 6 weeks. If you do, it will be difficult to get them back in, and it will hurt. They need to heal first.  (+ info)

Is a septum piercing more painful than snake bites?

I had my snake bites done quite some while ago and they didn't hurt that much, only hurt a bit when they put the ring in. I was curious whether septum piercings are more painful, because people say they aren't but they don't compare the pain of other piercings with it. I'm thinking of getting a septum piercing, and I was wondering whether it would hurt more.
I've never gotten snakebites but I do have a septum piercing and it didn't hurt at all. In fact, I'd say it hurt significantly less than getting my ears pierced. I felt a little poke from the tip of the needle, but I didn't feel it actually pierce through and my eyes didn't really even water. Would snake bites ruin a flute embouchure?

I want snake bites, but I play the flute and fear that they would ruin my embouchure. What would happen if I get them at the beginning of the summer, then take them out when they heal?
I don't know what they would do to your flute playing, but I would never hire a job applicant who had them.
