How can I clear up a nodule or cyst?

I don't suffer from acne but I have been getting a large cyst on my chin for months now. It doesn't form a head and it gets huge and painful. I started getting glycolic peels to help and for a while no cyst, but yesterday I got one and I hit my chin and tore the skin. Now it's red and swollen. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.
----------

i had a cyst once called an epididimal (spelling) cyst, it required local anasthetic and they had to take it out through surgery, get to your doctors and they'll be able to tell you exactly what kind of cyst it is and the right treatment. Certain cysts can't be rid of without surgery or can be but have large chances of returning.

best contact your doctor to make sure :)  (+ info)

I have a thyroid nodule and about one month ago I had a fine needle biopsy.?

Recently I learned that I will require surgery because the doc's weren't able to tell if the nodule is malignant or not. Does anyone know anything about this type of surgery?
----------

i had the same thing, first they do the needle biopsy and another biopsy one when they take out the nodule, the surgery is delicate cause there is a lot of blood vessels near, cost $ 22.000 dollars , the recovery is quick. the final biopsy determine malign or not but the neddle is a good indicator if go good. good luck  (+ info)

Does anyone here have a thyroid nodule that is solid and cold? What are the chances of it being malignant?

I have had blood tests to check thyroid functioning - all normal. I have also had an ultrasound and an uptake and scan. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist next and I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there going through the same thing.
----------

Thyroid nodes are very common, particularly in women, and more particularly after age 40. 99.5% of all thyroid nodes are non-cancerous. of the .5% that are malignant, the 3 most common forms have a 90% cure rate. Run the numbers, and the chances of dying from this are less than 1: 50,000.
Dont be too concerned at this point.  (+ info)

what is the different between Arthritis and Rheumatic Arthritis?

what is the different between Arthritis and Rheumatic Arthritis please help me
----------

How man have you got this screwed up. You're asking (or should be) about osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteo and rheumatoid are just two types of arthritis. There are more than 100 types of arthritis and related rheumatic conditions.

Osetoarthritis (OA) is classified as a non-inflammatory condition but as it progresses, there can be joint inflammation but usually without swelling. OA is the result of worn, damaged joint cartilage and can also be an end result of joint injury. Key risk factors include: heredity, excess weight, injury and joint damage from some other type of arthritis. Usually affects those over 45 but can occur at a younger age because of sports injuries.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease. The immune system attacks the body's joints. This causes very painful swelling and inflammation in the lining of the joints. The damage can be quite disfiguring and crippling. It can cause permanent joint deformity and disability. It can also affect other parts of the body, such as the eyes, lungs or heart. While it more commonly appears between the ages of 25 and 50, RA can affect people of all ages from toddlers to seniors.  (+ info)
