What is the reason for nausea and vomiting?

My gf is having nausea and vomiting for the last one year or so. Doctors can not find anything wrong. She has about 10 episodes of nausea and about two vomiting per month. Of course she is not pregnant.

Do you have any experience or knowledge about such cases?
maybe its the food she's eating. or she has a sensitive throat that can get irritated easily. You vomit easier when you're feeling weak, so she should eat proper foods, and make sure she takes all her supplements. Is it possible to have nausea, vomiting and headache 10 days after having several teeth pulled?

I had several teeth pulled over 10 days ago and am still having nausea, vomiting and headache. Seven days after the extractions I ended up in the hospital over night dehydrated and my potassium was very low. That was three days ago and I am still sick. I am not taking any pain pills or antibiotics and there is no infection.
Possibly a reaction to the anesthetic. You should have been taking an antiemetic. Try Emetrol and take something for the headache. Also report this to your oral surgeon on Monday.  (+ info)

I am eight weeks and 2 days pregnant as of today. I had a miscarriage this January at 9 weeks - ultrasound showed no heartbeat and I am really scared now. I have ultrasound tomorrow morning and hoping to see heartbeat. I have nausea and vomiting from last two weeks (all day along) , does that mean baby is growing well and I will have less chance of miscarriage? For my earlier pregnancy which miscarried I had no nausea and vomiting.
My doctor told me that having morning sickness means that the pregnancy has taken and it's a healthy one.  (+ info)

My boyfriend has been throwing up for the past two days. He was fine for several hours yesterday, but then he had some beers, and ended up getting sick for an entire night. He told me that as a child, he was prone to nausea and vomiting, usually having food poisoning. Because we kiss, and I haven't gotten any stomach bug, I can safely assume that he has food poisoning. So far today he has not thrown up but he has some nauseous feelings. Anyway I'm running out to the store to get him some stuff that will help him. Any ideas?
my dad used to be a medic in the army and this is what he had my brother and i do every time we got sick like this. have him drink weak hot tea and then saltine crackers. on the saltine crackers have him nibble on them as if he were a mouse eating them. also have him lay on his right side (that keeps the acid in his stomach draining away from his stomach. it's the acid in his stomach that is making him sick). place a cool damp cloth on his throat and his forehead. just damp not wet. wet will only run and will only make him cold and cause him to shiver and then get sick to his stomach again. once he can hold down the weak tea and crackers then try him on clear soup and jello and see ghow he does on that. if he throws it up then go back to the weak hot tea and crackers. contniu until he can handle solid foods like eggs,toast,etc. Many Blessings and i hoope he gets to feeling better soon.  (+ info)

Basically find out what is wrong, if you can not get to a doctor due to extreme weather, this has been happening for a long time? Call an ambulance on either 911 or 000 if you are in Australia? Not being able to get medical help is not an excuse, is a friend a doctor who can house visit?

What causes a severe headache, nausea, vomiting?

My left side of my head feels like my brain is "too big" for my head and I have a severe headache, along with nausea, vomiting, and a stuffy right ear. It feels like the flu but this is a long going issue. I cannot sleep or take naps because of the nausea and vomiting but later in the day or night, I feel lightheaded and tired but cannot fall asleep. Any ideas, suggestions, or similar issues would be great!

Alternative to Lemon or Lime for preventing Nausea and vomiting?

Quick! My sister is sick, and Im not sure how to help her. She doesnt want to throw up and were trying to not use the gravol unless it gets bad. I heard that using a lemon or lime cures nausea and vomiting but we dont have either! Is there another alternitive? I gave her lemon juice to smell but im not sure if that will work. Help please!
Edit: Lemons and limes doesnt cure it but it prevents vomiting.**
You can give her ginger tea if you have it. Another thing that sometimes helps is flat coca-cola, or coke syrup. Pour some coca cola into a cup and stir it until you can release all the gas bubbles and then have her sip it.  (+ info)

I have had nausea and vomiting for a day now and when I lay down it feels like the room is spinng. (I had to sleep sitting up.) There is no diarreha. I cant keep anything on my stomach. What are some things that I can do?
I would try ginger ale & crackers or dry toast it always helps with my nausea. If your symptoms dont get better then get yourself to a doctor! Also there is an over the counter medication called Emetrol that helps nausea.  (+ info)
