Surgery for pilonidal sinus in Bangalore?

Has anyone undergone surgery for pilonidal sinus in bangalore especially the cleft lift surgery.
Could someone recommend me a good surgeon or hospital in Bangalore for this kind of treatment?
----------

Anyway you have been diagnosed to have "Pilonidal Sinus"
This can Only been done by your Doctor,
as yourself cannot even see what it is .

If the diagnosis is Correct, nowadays it is one of the
Simple Surgeries which Can be undertaken by
any good Surgeon/Pvt. hospitals too.

Prefer to get it done properly in a Medical College
hospital.
Many are there in Bangalore.

Need not be Surgeon Specific.
St. John's MCH etc., are very good.,
so also KIMS.

If prefer Pvt you Can seek expert advise from your own
Family Doctor.  (+ info)

Has anyone had pilonidal sinus or bowel abscesses?

I have had this condition for over 2 years now and I am beggining to think it is here forever. I am looking for hope but need the truth.
----------

It may be worth seeing your surgeon again, often the pilonidal sinus will recur despite treatment but it may be that the excision of the sinus was incomplete.
Ensure that your hygiene is scrupulous. Also, try to eat a diet high in fibre and drink lots of fluids.
Good luck.  (+ info)

Can Pilonidal Sinus and bowel cancer be linked ?

Please does anyone know as there is bowel cancer is in our family history. I am quite worried as my son has got Pilonidal Sinus and the doctor has prescribed some antibiotics and has wrote to a surgeon at the hospital for an appointment. The doctor said i may just need to give the antibiotics without seeing a surgeon but i insisted on seeing one as he has been having bad constipation since last August and just recently prescribed movicol.
Also any info on this op and after care if anyone had it. Thanks
sorry forgot to say 17 years of age

Go to WebMD.com. I've never heard of any relationship between those cysts(had one removed) and colon cancer.

Pilonidal sinus that I had twice?

I still have the lumps from the last op and there discharging some times but my mum helps me to keep the hairs away. I see the specialist next week and hope he will not say I heed to have another op. has any one else had Pilonidal sinus?
had the op 2 years ago.
----------

How long ago did you have surgery? The wound can actually take about 7 weeks to heal- in which time you may have discharge. It usually requires regular dressings to be changed until the wound has healed. You must keep hair away from the wound. If problems persists or reoccurs then surgery would again be required to remove the sinus and refashion the nearby skin.  (+ info)

is there any Homeopathic Treatment for pilonidal sinus infection .?

is there any Homeopathic Treatment for pilonidal sinus infection in gluteal infection. if there is treatment please tell me and give me homeopathy doctor address in chennai (india)
----------

A pilonidal sinus is a track/blind tunnel that burrows into the skin, and is caused by the pressure of air. It needs surgery. The other possible diagnosis is a fistula in ano. A fistula is a tunnel that starts in the skin and communicates with the last part of the intestines (the anal canal). Confirm with your doctor that he has ruled out a fistula. This needs a different kind of surgery. These conditions do not turn malignant. You should consider surgery at your earliest convenience.  (+ info)

I'm getting my pilonidal sinus/abscess removed tomorrow and they will put me under general anaesthesia. Can somebody please tell me what the procedure of general anaesthestia for a pilonidal is? I'm also petrified, I need tips on how to overcome the fear of this :(
----------

Having a general anaethestic (GA) for a pilonidal sinus is the same as having a GA for any other similar procedure. As for your worry, don't be. GA is extremely common and if you have any concerns talk to you anaesthetist before the procedure.  (+ info)

is it possible to cure pilonidal sinus succesfully by performing keyhole surgery?

Get pilonidal sinus surgery in india.
Medical treatment and Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges all types of surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as all types of medical treatment and surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.

As a doctor i personally believe that your medical treatment and surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
