Has anyone ever had a heterotopic pregnancy and lost them both?

Heterotopic pregnancy is when a person is pregnant in two areas one is in the uterus and the other is in the tube. It just happen to me just lost them both.

I have never heard of this condition. I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck in the future.  (+ info)

How does ossification progress in a typical long bone?

Does anyone know? Its a question for my biology class.
----------

Long bones grow during the growth years from birth through adolescence. The growth occurs at the growth plate which is between the metaphysis and the epiphysis and is called the epiphyseal plate. The main shaft of a long bone is called the diaphysis. The epiphyseal plate is where the growing cartilage becomes ossified as it is replaced by proliferating cartilage cells called chondrocytes, belneath it.
Upon light microscopy the following zones can be seen in these "secondary ossification centers" during endochondrial (cartilagenous) ossification.

1. Zone of resting cartilage. This zone contains normal, resting hyaline cartilage.
2. Zone of proliferation. In this zone, chondrocytes undergo rapid mitosis, forming distinctive looking stacks.
3. Zone of maturation / hypertrophy. It is during this zone that the chondrocytes undergo hypertrophy (become enlarged). Chondrocytes contain large amounts of glycogen and begin to secrete alkaline phosphatase.(an enzyme needed to deposit calcium into bone)
4. Zone of calcification. In this zone, chondrocytes are either dying or dead, leaving cavities that will later become invaded by bone-forming cells. Chondrocytes here die when they can no longer receive nutrients or eliminate wastes via diffusion. This is because the calcified matrix is much less hydrated than hyaline cartilage.  (+ info)

14. Why is ossification important to a child during the first year of life?

ha, it hardens ur bones. when babies r born, their bones r mostly hyaline cartilage & as they get older they ossifies  (+ info)

has anyone had a heterotopic pregnancy?

if so, was it possible for you to carry your intrauterine pregnancy to term? i had surgery the other day to remove tissue from an ectopic pregnancy and am 6 weeks with an intrauterine pregnancy. i really want to make it to term and am terrified i'll miscarry now.
----------

Well after looking up the definition I see what you are saying is that you were pregnant with twins but one attached in the fallopian tube so they had to remove that tissue to prevent serious problems for you. The other embryo has attached in the uterus where it was supposed to. So I can understand your fears since you went through a lot of stress and with the operation were probably pumped full of drugs.

I think the best thing you can do is go have an internal ultrasound done asap and talk with your doctor. I'm sure lots of woman have had major surgery and done tons of other things they say not to do when pregnant at 6 weeks because a lot of women don't know they are even pregnant and they have healthy babies. I was 3 months pregnant when I found out so any lifestyle changes weren't made in the first trimester but my doc says my pregnancy is fine and the baby seems fine.

So make the lifestyle changes such as diet, rest, excersize and what ever else you need to do. Go talk to your doctor, get a check up, insist on the ultrasound and believe that things will turn out for the best. At this point you staying calm and taking care of yourself is going to go a long way to making sure that your little embryo turns into a fetus and then a healthy baby.  (+ info)

can anterior bridging ossification in the neck be mistaken for pseudoarthrosis;patricia?

No
one is tissue, the other bone  (+ info)

i might have a heterotopic pregnancy will the baby in my uterus make it if i have to have surgery?

you probably mean ectopic pregnancy. If you have a baby in your tube it cannot make it. It will have to be removed or it could be fatal for you. If you also have a baby in your uterus, it should not be affected as long as the tubal baby is removed.  (+ info)

can anterior bridging ossification (if too close)perforate the left side neck carotid artery;patricia?

never.  (+ info)

Number these four ossification in the order they happen.?

_a. calcium compounds stay in the cells
_b. bone cells absorbs calcium
_c. calcium is change to calcium compounds
_d. calcium compound harden and become bone

does myostis ossification prevent from playing sports?

they kicked me in football and i got a deep bruise in my tigh i put some ice for a week then the next week i hit it again and got swollen again does any one know if im ever going back to normal i have been practicing and its bee two weeks since

thanx
----------

Hi
This is not likely to be a case of mysositis ossificans - at least not at this stage. It sounds like you have some deep bruising in the quadriceps muscle. Sure, ice will help, but you really need some good quality support and input from a sports therapist.

You will need some treatment with gentle massage, some ultrasound therapy and then a program of stretching and strengthening before going back to sport. It sounds like you've already gone back to it too soon.

Go get some treatment from an expert - you wont regret it

Hope this helps
