What is the basis of differing actions of antineoplastic agents on different tissue/neoplasms?

What is the basis for differing tissue- and neoplasm-specificites of antieoplastic chemotherapeutic agents? This doubt arose because considering what the pharmacokinetics of these drugs are it remains to be answered as to why a certain agent would act only in a particular tissue or neoplasm when the mechanisms they employ are so similar, e.g., various alkylating agents in spite having same action act of different tumors with differing degrees of effectiveness. Hope someone answers the question specifically. Useful links to free-text articles would also be highly appreciated. Bye. TC.

List three possible causes for this condition.
Identify the eating disorder related to it.

thx!
----------

1. self starvation
2. inability to digest food the right way (no nutrients or calories are consumed from it).
3. celiac disease? that's when there is a gluten allergy and you lose so much weight and it's extremely hard to gain it back. you don't have enough protein or fat either cause it basically screws up your entire digestive system.

I'm guessing the eating disorder would be anorexia because bulimia alone doesn't usually cause extreme weight loss although anorexia is usually linked to bulimic behaviors as well.  (+ info)

Premature infant lacks subcutaneous adipose tissue, and surface area of infant's small body is relatively?

large compared to it's volume. How do these affect the ability of an infant to regulate its own body temperature?
----------

If you think about it...
O.k., subq tissue is the fatty tissue underneath of the layer underneath of the normal skin. Adipose tissue made out of fat.
So therefore the baby lacks fat tissue underneath of the skin. That is why they have such a hard time. Because they do not have the fat lining that everybody else has to keep in body heat. Body heat will sort of radiate out if you do not have it.
It is like a house without good storm windows. The window would let out all the heat in the house and the house could not stay properly warmed on the inside. There is heat being generated from the inside but can not be kept inside.
Hope that helps!  (+ info)
