how do i treat lichen planus skin disease?

i am suffering from this since last 15 years.
----------

I was diagnosed with this disease 3 years ago. Two things seemed to help: an ointment called HERBACORT and a product called CORAL CALCIUM. Both were made by Herbalab on Vancouver Island at the time. (others make coral calcium now) The manufacturer said to take six coral calciums a day for two weeks, then cut down. Within a month the rash had faded significantly. I also continued to take GREENS with juice each day, in an effort to get my body to be less acidic. Lichen planus is autoimmune and I have learned that is due to inflamation. The disease reappears (mildly) whenever I do a detox but subsides within a few weeks. It seems important to get one's body pH corrected and ensure that your system is absorbing nutrients properly. How to heal Lichen Planus homeopathically?

Lichen Planus is something that the medical industry has no clue how to fix because the symptoms are not something the drug industry has figured out and doctors only treat symptoms, not "root causes" of diseases anyway.

To treat a disease by killing the germ is an allopathic medicine phenomenon that is what so called "modern medicine" bases it's approach to "curing" diseases. In fact, this approach does work to an extent, but ignores, generally, the overall health of a person and leads to "make believe health."

Putting ointments and creams on a rash like this will NOT get to the "root cause" of the problem.

Skin problems in general are often linked to hormonal imbalances, deficiency of essential fatty acids, consumption of toxic oils like vegetable oils (soybean, canola, cottonseed, and corn oils), hydrogenated oils, fried foods, trans fats, etc. Lack of sunlight, a deficiency in minerals (can be due to infections), pH of the stomach being too high and not enough stomach acid production, and also a toxic colon - especially the large intestine.

Hypoadrenal conditions from the lack of good quality air dried sea salt in the diet, lack of sleep, stress or poor eating habits. Weak kidneys allow the lymph to congest and then the skin is used to dump the waste products.

A very important and mostly overlooked cause of the problem you are having is toxic dental materials and leaking root canal teeth. Typical root canals done by dentists using their typical "standard of care" dentistry is causing a lot of the problems you are having. Toxic chemicals (lead, barium, cadmium, mercury, etc.) gradually leach out of these root canals via the gums into the lymphatic system, which can often congest specific skin areas. Conventional root canals should be replaced with biocompatible dental materials.

Dentists are causing major problems with the chemicals they are using, such as gutta percha to fill canals, aniline chemicals such as Lidocaine, Procaine, Carbocaine, etc. that are AGGRESSIVELY CARCINOGENIC from aniline homologs they produce in the body. So called "modern dentistry" is NOT about health. If it were, the ADA would be looking out for your health, not keeping dentists from being sued.

Heavy metal contamination can play a major role in the problem you are having. The body is trying to eliminate toxins and with the SAD diet (standard American diet), combined with all the chemicals being forced down our throats and on our bodies, it's amazing that we are still here.

As of 2005, CDC report, 53% of ALL Americans are now chronically ill. In 1905, the same CDC report showed less than 5% of ALL Americans being chronically ill. Does that sound like progress to you?

I strongly suggest you see a Certified Nutritional Therapist that knows QRA Testing to help you. I believe that you can be healthy and to focus on health, instead of treating a symptom, is what you need most.

EDIT: The science teacher is a teacher because "if you can you do, if you can't you teach." I strongly believe teachers are endoctrinating people and not educating them. This is why this guy seems to believe that he has the answers, but I believe you are experiencing what "modern science" is giving you, their NON - answer. So what does that guy suggest? lol. I have found in 1000's of cases that the body is a lot smarter than science today.

good luck to you  (+ info)

Has anyone ever had Lichen Planus? It is an inflammatory disease that effects the skin.?

I was just wondering if anyone had this disease before and what they did to help it or maybe might know the causes. Some doctors say from stress and others have said something going on with my body from the inside. If anyone could share their thoughts on this, I would be grateful.

What can we do about hair loss cause of Lichen Planus?

Lichen Planopilaris is the specific name given to lichen planus on the scalp that causes permanent scarring alopecia with inflammation around affected hair follicles. It mostly affects middle-aged adults as distinct patches of hair loss. Treatment includes oral steroids (to get it under quick control) plus topical steroid liquids, and the oral medications Accutane or Plaquenil. More information about scarring (cicatricial) alopecia can be found at the Cicatricial Alopecia Research Foundation: www.carfintl.org  (+ info)

Any home remedies for Lichen Planus?

Any solutions for the itching & help to fade the scars?
----------

Lichen Planus is probably not caused by any one thing but rather
several cofactors probably decrease the guts ability to eliminate toxins and therefore disables the proper immune response.
Several cofactors such as poor dietary choices, mineral deficiencies, chronic dehydration, toxins from antibiotics, vaccinations, medicinal drugs, heavy metals such as aluminum, mercury, lead and environmental contaminants may be responsible for your Lichen Planus. Combined, many of these multiple conditions may block the intestinal tract, create congestion in many toxin elimination systems of the body and lead to often painful inflamation of the skin in the form of flat, dark purple bumps in many areas of the body.or sores in the mouth or genitals.

This link http://www.medicow.com/topics/lichen-pla... says there is no cure however many people have been cured of Lichen Planus by their own body.

Give your body what it needs and it will respond. I would start with the water cure. Drink 6-8 glasses of distilled water each day with a pinch of unrefined sea salt. This will rehydrate and remineralize the body.

I would eliminate dairy and wheat based(glutens) from my diet to see if either of these foods. Imagine there are several types of people in the world and you may be one of millions of people whose body is not supposed to have dairy or wheat.

I would take an alternate daily bath in cool water with several tablespoons of unrefined sea salt and add a drop of wild oregano oil and on the first day and the the next day take a bath in cool water with 2 cups of inexpensive grocery store apple cider vinegar with one drop of wild oregeno oil. Repeat this process during flare ups.

I would consider taking the homeopathic treatment's Arsenicum Album for itching, St John's Wart, and Arsenicum Iodatum. I would also consider taking a good B Complex Vitamin.

Eat more raw vegetables and fruits.

Eat walnuts, almonds, and small amounts of Brazil nuts each day.

Sunstitute walnut oil for other cooking oil.

Drink a glass of apple juice three times a day with a tablespoon of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar witha dash of cinnamon three times a day.

To get rid of scars left from Lichen Planus, I would try mixing egg whites with a few drops of rosehip oil, lavender oil, wheat germ oil, or cocoa butter in a a dixie cup sized cup of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. When you have 30 minutes to leave it on, apply the mixture several times and this will help lighten and heal scars.

Drink 6-8 glasses of clean water each day to give your skin the fluids it needs to heal itself.

These different healing modalities may provide some answers but the true answer is to cleanse the body of toxins, get at least 30 minutes of sunlight each day, eat more fruit and vegetables, drink lots of clean mineralized water and become conscious of your bodies needs.  (+ info)
