hypospadias adn corpus spongiosum shape?

hello. i was born with a glandular(mild) hypospadias. this means that my pee hole is on the under side of my penis glans(head). for some reason, my corpus spongiosum(the spongy tissue on the under side of the penis shaft)has a bulge in it about an inch under the head, and then the tissue seems to go away. it's so odd. does anyone have an explanation? .for you guys out there)maybe girls) do you go through stages in puberty where your penis has an odd shape, or the tissue on the bottom of the shaft is shorter than the erectile tissue on the sides of the penis? thanks.

I cannot testify to that. That's the first time I heard about that. Hope things don't turn out too bad.  (+ info)

My husband has hypospadias why does it seem as though when he is not sick he dwells on being sick?

He has had alot of surgery to repair the hypospadias now he has to set down to urinate. I am getting so frustrated our sex life is not what it used to be well we never have sex anymore. all he wants to do is talk about his penis and another surgery and if he is not sick he tells me he is getting a urinary tract infection and half the time i dont think he has one. What gets to me is since the last surgery he has been so much better health wise and now he acts like he wants to be sick like he misses the attention. I told him maybe he should schedule another surgery so he could be happy. I dont know what to do.. I miss our marriage the way it was. we also were able to have a beutiful son.

It sounds to me like enjoys the attention he recieves when he is sick, so he tries to act sick just to get the attention back.  (+ info)

I want to find a male in my area with hypospadias--Canton, Ohio?

Why would you want to find someone with an open, deformed penis? Are you a perv? Are you doing research? Don't you have any other hobbies?  (+ info)

Is hypospadias always passed on genetically?

No, a lot of cases have no link to the family  (+ info)

what causes hypospadias?

does it have anything to do with testosterone deficiency?
----------

During fetal development, when the penis is forming, for some reason the opening ends up on the underside of the penis instead of on the end. Sometimes the opening is on the top. Some can be surgically repaired and other severe cases cannot be fixed.  (+ info)

Hey Mate,
You said it yourself, its "mild". If you were wildly deformed, had three holes or something like that, I could see passing on a BJ. I think YOU may be more freaked out that anyone else. There really isn't such a thing as a perfect penis.
This is kind of like swimming mate. If you never get in the water, you will never know if you sink or swim. Next time she offers, say Yes, and enjoy. Mild hypospadia makes you unique, not a freak. Besides it might be a grreat new sensation on her tongue!  (+ info)

what are the goals of hypospadias repair?

Depends on the type. Hypospadias is a birth defect of the penis involving the urethra (the transport tube leading from the bladder to discharge urine outside the body). The urethra normally travels in the male through the full length of the penis so that the stream of urine comes from the urethral opening at the tip of the penis. However, in hypospadias the urethra does not go all the way through the penis but, instead, opens on the underside of the shaft of the penis or below the penis.

Hypospadias is relatively common, affecting approximately 1 in every 500 newborn boys. Hypospadias can occur as an isolated birth defect in an otherwise normal child or it can be part of a multiple malformation syndrome. There is no association between the mother's use of loratadine (Claritin) in early pregnancy and the occurrence of hypospadias in her son.

In mild type (first-degree) hypospadias, the urethral opening is below the tip but still nearby (on what is called the glans). In moderate (second-degree) hypospadias, the urethra opens closer to the body on the underside of the shaft of the penis. In severe (third-degree) hypospadias, the urethal opening is below the penis on the skin and this is called a perineal hypospadias.

In a child with hypospadias, the urine comes from an opening that is on the underside of the penis or below the penis. With moderate-to-severe degrees of hypospadias, the boy will therefore usually sit to urinate. Some cases of first-degree hypospadias are so mild as to not require treatment.

If the hypospadias needs to be repaired, this is done by surgery. The aim is to repair and reconstruct the urethra. Depending on the degree of the hypospadias, the surgery can range from relatively simple to very challenging.

The opposite of hypospadias is epispadias, a less common birth defect in which the urethra opens prematurely on the upperside of the penis or above it.  (+ info)

My son was born with Hypospadias, had surgery at 7 months. He is fine.?

I am pregnant now and am expecting another son in February. What is the likelihood he will have hypospadias as well? Has anyone been though this??
HE had one surgery at 7 months old. And yes my father had it!
----------

Is there anyone in your family or the fathers family that has had this condition? Most likely it is not genetic but just a cause of a malformed foreskin during gestation. However, since you have had one child born with a physical birth defect of this sort, ask your doctor about doing a Level 3 ultra sound....it may not be 100% accurate but if you get a good view they might be able to tell if there will be a problem.

For your son to have required 7 surgeries it sounds like he had second or third degree hypospadias where the urethra opening is on the shaft or on the perineum. But usually First and second degree can be fixed in 1 or 2 surgies.

I hope he's doing well! Good luck!  (+ info)
