What are some examples of central nervous system "stimulants" and do they actually cause depression after?

meaning they stimulate nerves and then why do they relax and become depressed again?

can anyone explain this?

Thanks for your answers!
----------

I agree with Thomas' answer, I just wanted to add that part of the reason why people become so depressed after using stimulants is that it affects the serotonin levels... if you are on stimulants, your serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine uptake is reduced, so there are more of these substances 'free' which makes you feel really good... but then the drug wears off, and you are left with very low serotonin (etc) levels, the reuptake increases, and you suddenly go from having loads of extra serotonin etc to having less than usual. It takes a while for the levels to balance out again, and this is the 'comedown'.  (+ info)

The best things you can do is be sure and thoroughly rinse your mouth afterwards to remove stomach acids from your mouth. If you, can brush more often but gently so you aren't wearing the enamel down.  (+ info)

I am not feeling good at all was wondering if there is an option to see somebody without having to wait to see a GP.
----------

You need to speak to your GP who can refer you to a Neurologist at your local hospital. You could also see a Neurologist privately. Just look up Neurologists on the web. You would still need a referral from your GP but you would be able to be seen quicker.  (+ info)

That question really doesn't make sense. That's not a list of disorders, those are parts of the CNS. I really don't know what you mean by "affecting her nervous"  (+ info)

How do I get help to Fund my Wife's treatment for central nervous system disorder?

She was effected by Mercury Poisoning, has not been able to claim disability, due to a lack of medical records. We have a faith based foundation that will provide two thirds of her treatment, but we need $2500.00 They provide the other $5000.00 and will study her case for research in return for supplying the supplements she needs for treatment and we believe a total cure.

Many local grocers or conveniance stores will allow you to put
a donation jar or box in their stores to receive donations; also
you may get with local school, churchs, or any other organizations as this and see if they will help you with a bake sale to raise funds. Fund raisers can also be found by most candy producers such as Hershey and M&M's. Look on these websights. You may contact them and tell them your story and see what they may offer to do for you.  (+ info)

Do a Taser's(R) shock affect the localized area or the entire central nervous system?

Does the electrical current affect only the local skeletal muscles or does it affect the entire central nervous system when a human is shocked by a Taser(R)? What are all the side effects? Do Taser(R) shocks exacerbate preexisting medical conditions? I cannot get a straight answer to these questions with my research.
----------

It actually interferes with the sensory nerves and motor nerves, causing muscle contractions, and sometimes tremors.

Since both sensory AND motor nerves are involved, the central and peripheral nervous systems are affected.  (+ info)
