What is the difference between hand lotion and foot lotion?

OK, I know hand lotion is used on the hands and foot lotion is used on the feet. That I know. But as for the actual lotion itself, what is the difference in the types of lotion? Why different lotions for the feet and the hands? The foot lotion I have does not have anything in it which would take off dead skin or anything which can sometimes build up on the feet. It is lotion. Nothing 'rough' in it. So how in the world can I find out why there is a so called difference between hand lotion and foot lotion. I know one answer would be "the ingredients" but if ingredients is the answer, what is it about the ingredients that makes the lotions different? Thank you.
I only know about Mary Kay. The hand cream is designed to keep working even after washing hands often. Feet aren't exposed to water as often. That leads to another difference. The foot products usually have fragrance to help with foot odor or have a deodorant. Mary Kay's has a great mint scent.  (+ info)

My left hand finger nails have suddenly been growing out of control. My right hand is my domanant hand & it has not followed suit. I've tried to care for my right hand in the same way as i've done the left but i have trouble filing the nails on the right hand. Thanks for your advice!

Hi, I play drums. I was wondering how I should properly hold my sticks because every part of my arm hurts. My right hand always feels as though someone is squeezing it and stepping on it and my joints always crack. My hand are almost always in pain and my forearms ache as well. I don't want to stop playing drums so could anyone tell me of a way to play without having to use my entire arm to play? Thank you!
Its weird because my right hand normally hurts a lot more than my left. I have trouble playing left, right, left, right and naturally, and have a habit, of using paradiddles using my right hand the most.
Go find either a drum teacher or a good book/video. You need to find the balance point on the stick and learn to use the finger/wrist combo. Drummers use their fingers and sometimes the wrist to play, whether its loud, soft, fast, hard. It doesn't matter. Using your arms will end up causing problems. I have really dry hands, just looking for suggestions, either name brand PRODUCTS or tips, tricks and home remedies for dry hands. I am currently using Neoteric diabetic hand lotion and seems to make my hands drier. Thanks.
I have the same problem, and my dad is a welder and this also worked for him. We found Vasoiline brand Hand and Nail Conditioning Lotion. It is a small pink bottle, wide and short. The lotion smells godd in a baby-powder kind of way but is mainly scent-free. It works really well and retains moisture even through washing your hands. You might also want to try bag balm on your hands before you go to sleep and letting it condition your hands while you sleep and then washing it off in the morning. Good luck!  (+ info)

Except for antibacterial hand soaps, the ingredients in hand soap and body wash are similar. Although, body wash tends to contain more "extra" stuff - moisturizers, perfume, tea tree this and tea tree that....

Anyway, so my other question is, do you use those two interchangeably? I think that before body wash and liquid hand soaps came into vogue, people used the same bar soaps for handwashing and bodywashing.

I'm a nurse and get stupidly dry and cracked skin on my hands from constantly washing and using alcohol gel. I have tried some pretty expensive hand creams but nothing seems to do the job adequately enough. Am willing to spend a bit of money to find one that really works but was wondering if anyone has a brand they would particularly recommend.

Does anyone out there have a good link to some information with advice with hand exercises?
The pains are sharp at my wrist, palm and fingers from being in a cast for my broken elbow. Now that the cast is off I need to stretch and flex the hand muscles.

I did a test and my right hand (dominant hand) is way weaker then my left hand. Any ideas what could cause this?
