I need to know where I go to get checked out for gonorrhea and how much that doctor may cost
do any hospitals do these sort of check ups for free?

It depends...do you go to college? If you do, the campus health centers give free STD screenings. Also, some hospitals and doctor's offices offer it for free as well, but you need to call around your local area. If you're a female, you should check out Planned Parenthood. They can give you a free test + exam if you qualify (no insurance, low income, etc). (

okay well i have always had discharge (even before i lost my virginity) and i don't know why?
i personally think it stinks but idk?
and today i noticed like brownish discharge. i just got off my period so idk if it could be that but im not sure what it is?
help me? and if it is gonorrhea how do i tell my mom i need to go to the doctor because of this.

the brown gunk is probably your left over period, the blood gets old and turns brown and you can spot the last day or so. if you have a reason to think you could have gonorrhea then go to a doc,but doesnt sound it to me.All you have to tell your mom is you think you have ayeast infection and need to go to the doctors, and tell the doc the real reason,he cant tell her why you are there. Ok, I read online somewhere about having more of a chance of getting HIV when you have Gonorrhea? I thought you had to have sex with someone who had HIV in order to get it???

What that stuff means is if you have a present infection going on in your body (i.e. herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc) then it is easier for HIV to infect you because your body is already out of whack from the other infections. However, you have still have to get exposed to HIV from an infected person. Most people don't know that the transmission rate for HIV is actually low. So you can have sex with an infected person and not get the virus. You may have to have sex with that person several times. However, if you got an infection like gonorrhea going on, then its easier to get HIV...so like having sex with that person only two times and you get it. (

usually when they test you for stds they check for both of those as they are the most common. with chlymedia its called the "silent" std because it is much harder to find symtoms and they can come alot later then other std symptoms (

What are the chances of me having gonorrhea?
My girlfriend and I have been having intercourse for a year and she had difficulty with her vagina and tested positive for gonorrhea. We have had sex without a condom since then what are the chances that I have it? I have no symptoms. I'm getting checked tomorrow.
I don't know how this is possible because I have never been with another woman, and we have been only doing it with each other for about a year.

You definitely are at serious high risk for having intercourse with your g/f if she has been tested an turns out she has been infected with gonorrhea. If you have only had sex with one woman your whole life then I would guess your g/f his multiple partners in the past or right now. I would get check out tomorrow to see if you contracted the curable std an get it the treatment for it as soon as you are able to do so. GOOD LUCK on your test!.... (

How long does it take a lab to complete a Gonorrhea and Chlamydia urinalysis? Can you cite the source of the information (I am needing it for a paper on the subject). I am hearing the actually lab result can take anywhere from 1 to 4 days. I am assuming this is a culture so I believe it would take longer.
