I have ongoing intermittent pain on my rightside flank area when the pain is there I feel nauseous.?

The pain doesn't last for long and I am wondering whether it is worth going to the doctor or not?
----------

Go to a doctor before your apendix ruptures. Or it could be kidney stones! Imagine a rock passing through your pee tube. Hurts like a dickens and will make you puke! Both these conditions require a doctor! Go see one right now!

If you are having problems taking a whiz in the toliet, then chances are you are passing a kidney stone. Get to a doctor. They will fix you right up!  (+ info)

An older man sees his doctor for severe pain in his lower abdominal or flank area,?

An older man sees his doctor for severe pain in his lower abdominal or flank area, elevated temperature, and nausea. Exhaustive tests rule out abdominal obstructions and infections. X-rays indicate a shadow on his right ureter. What do you think his problem may be? and also, give suggested treatment and prognosis.

what causes a burning pain in the left lower back which would radiate to the flank and sometimes all the way a

Was given a NSAID a over the counter drug for the pain and had a allergic reation to it. It gave me a rash that had patches of erythema with clusters of vesicles extending in a dermatomal distribution from my left lower back to the midline of my abdomen.
----------

Can be anything from sciatica (the inflammation of a sciatic nerve, coming out of your spine going down your leg) to a kidney stone, a cyst, a pulled muscle, a vertebrae out of alignment.
Go to your doctor and get examined. DO not self-medicate. You can do more damage than help your condition.  (+ info)

Would surgery to remove a ureter alleviate flank pain due to double ureters that may be blocked?

Some years back when I was about 25 I had to have an IVP (intravenous pyleogram) for repeat UTI's. It revealed that I had double ureters on my left side and the kidney on that same side was abnormally shaped--like it was supposed to grow into two kidneys on that one side. I havent had a UTI in about 10 years but now I constantly have pain in that side, sometimes burning and sometimes sharp. I constantly feel the need to urinate and when I do go, most of the time it is a light stream or a few drops. Could there possibly be an obstruction? If so, is surgery the best option?
----------

You really need to talk to your urologist about that. You could possibly have a blockage. In that case a stent in your ureter would alleviate the pain. Keep an eye on that kidney. It may be precancerous & need to be removed because of its irregular shape.  (+ info)

Flank pain & burning, headache, abdominal pain, tired, nauseas what do you think it is?

Flank pain & burning, headache, abdominal pain, tired, nausea's what do you think it is? This has been going on for 4 weeks and is at its worst now. I called a urologist but can't get in until 9/30. Mind you I was in complete renal failure and septic at Christmas.
Just an FYI I have seen a regular doctor, they tell me nothing. First they say it is a kidney infection & give me heavy duty antibiotics then they say it's nothing. Hence why I am not going back to my GP and I am trying to get in to a specialist. It is not just fatigue, it is not outside issues what I have listed is connected.
----------

Sweetie,

With the information I just read about renal failure, if you have had kidney failure and you are having these issues right now, I think it's time to either call them and get on the waiting list for cancellations or go to the hospital to make sure that you are okay. What worries me is your past history. I'm not a doctor (obviously) but if you've had such severe issues in the past and this feels connected (which it sounds connected) I would think that the best thing to do is act quickly to make sure you're not heading down the same road you were at Christmas time.

If you really want a doctor/nurses opinion online, check out justanswer.com/health. When I was having gallbladder issues they helped me figure some stuff out.

What is the treatment for kidney failure?

Once kidney failure is present, the goal is to prevent further deterioration of renal function. If ignored, the kidneys will progress to complete failure, but if underlying illnesses are addressed and treated aggressively, kidney function can be preserved, though not always improved.  (+ info)
