I m suffering from stiffness of left ankle, knee and left middle finger with RA factor negative and no injuries

I am suffering from extreme stifness of knee, i consult 4 to 5 doctors but none of them can diganose, all blood reports are normal with RA factor negative and all Xray are fine. All Doctors are just giving me antiinflammatry tabs.

I want to know whether it is arthritis and which type of it ? Is it curable either in allopathy or ayurveda? And where should i go for treatment ? how can i get relief ?

My age is 24 years.
----------

The RA factor negative has nothing to do with your problem. If you have not seen an Orthopedist then I would make an appointment to see one.

To me it sounds like you have Arthritis. It could be Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Or it could be something entirely different.

I have Osteoarthritis and I have the same RA factor as you. Hope you get some answers to this soon.  (+ info)

Should I see a doctor about my finger injury?

Two days ago I crushed the tip of my pinky finger, from the nail bed up, in a door. It bled a lot, turned black and blue, and is swollen. The pain factor is much better today, but now it's tingling and I am losing sensation in the finger. Feels like it's falling asleep, and the feeling continues down the finger into the side of my hand. Obviously I damaged some nerves- do you just wait this kind of thing out, or should a doctor see this? Is this normally how these kinds of injuries go? Thanks!
----------

Yes, do see the doctor.

The tingling is probably from bleeding into the nail bed. The doctor needs to drain the blood.

Feel better.

All the best.  (+ info)

Is it bad to have my finger swelled at the tip?

My middle finger is swelling around my nail. It doesn't hurt, as much as there is just pressure building.
There is red discoloration, but no purples or blues. No recent trauma or injuries.

Anything?

In all likelihood you have developed an infection in your finger. You do have some options for treating this situation. You can soak your finger in warm soapy water for 15 minutes 2-3 times a day. Afterwords dry your finger well with a clean towel or paper towel. Then apply an antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin or triple antibiotic ointment to the area that you see the redness on and cover with a bandaid to keep the medication in the area. It is important that you change the bandaid if it gets wet because the moisture could cause the infection to get worse.
If you don't see considerable improvement by the third day after starting this or it continues to get worse after 2 days of this you should see a doctor for an antibiotic prescription.  (+ info)

Why does my ring finger and toe keep twitching?

For the past 3 days (I think) my ring finger has been twitching. I don't drink excess caffeine and I get decent amounts of sleep...I haven't had any injuries either. But it continues to twitch and I don't know why! And today my toe has started to twitch too. The same toe every time too and its becoming more frequent.

Anyone know why this is happening and will it stop?

Small fracture at the base of pinky finger - how long should I wait before playing hockey?

I have a small fracture (non-displaced) across the base of my pinky finger. The Dr said to wait 7 weeks(4 weeks splint, 3 weeks exercises) before playing hockey again. This seems a little extreme, and I'm guessing she has to give the worst case scenario. I've known lots of people who have played with these types of injuries after a few weeks. Is playing 3 weeks after this type of injury too soon? 4? Is there a good way to tell?
----------

Yes it is to soon. Just because other people want to be reckless with their bodies does not mean you should!

Playing to soon puts you at great risk of re-injury. Every injury you incur in life has a price to pay as you get older (arthritis, etc.). In addition, each re-injury not only takes longer to recover, it will not heal as well either.

I wish I had advice when I was younger and I would not be suffering chronic pain from not letting my body heal.

I'm sure you will do what you want but just remember what I advised about 15-20 years from now. Listen to your Doctor!

What are good foods to eat for a dislocated finger?

I would guess vitamins are good but what about specific foods? Like eggs, Protien, i heard ORANGE JUICE was good for these types of injuries is this true?
----------

The healing of a dislocated finger is not a direct result of nutrients. No specific food is going to accelerate the healing. Although, proteins of course are helpful because they help rebuild muscle. Your best bet is to apply external remedies e.g. ice  (+ info)

Past finger injuries affecting guitar playing, please help?

My left thumb had a car trunk fully shut on it when I was in 5th grade. It separated my distal and proximal phalanges, stretching the ligament and probably damaged the cartilage a bit. My thumb was still all in one piece and it healed that week, but ever since then it pops when I bend that joint. My left thumb is crucial to fretboard technique and my nerves get irritated at the base of the thumb in the wrist area, my guess is because my thumb doesn't have the proper support from the damaged cartilage. I know this was years ago and should've healed by now, but the injury happened when I actively started playing music and I neglected/forgot about it from then until now (15 years later). I was also ignorant of any possible cartilage damage, which of course heals like a snail runs. I'm probably going to where a splint part time, but all the time is almost impossible. What would possibly be the best kind of grip exercises for my hand so they aren't so dependent on my thumb? It would seem to make sense not to overwork the thumb to let it heal, but hey I'm here because I don't know what's best, right?

I crushed my right index finger in between a parking meter and a guitar amplifier 3 years ago. Had to get about 5 stitches across the palm side of the proximal phalanx. And I've come to find out I should've been stretching/massaging this scar when I really haven't. Now I get irritation in the my palm near the finger, almost affecting my thumb and middle fingers too. It seems fairly obvious that I just need to stretch and massage the scar, but what would be the best way/plan? Would hand exercises also help? If so, what kind?

I know some might say, "just stop playing and let it heal", but that's too easy, obvious and inconvenient. If that's what I was planning to do, I wouldn't be on here asking for a better solution. Ive been progressing as musician since these injuries, so I know a better solution is possible. Practice time can be sacrificed for sure, but sacrificing playing altogether for more than a few days/week is out of the question.
