I have one ovary and one fallopian tube, what are my chances?

I has a miscarriage a year ago, i got a cyst on my ovary afterward and they had to remove my right ovary and fallopian tube. What do you think my chances are of getting pregnant?

Why did i have an ectopic pregnancy i am only 24 years old? How did my fallopian tube get so disfigured?

i have heard that ectopic pregnancies are more common 30-40 years of age. yet I am only 24 and already have a 3 year old boy. i was told that my fallopian tube was very disfigured and could have caused the ectopic pregnancy.
----------

It doesn't matter how old you are. You can get an ectopic pregnancy at any age. I know of 3, all under the age of 30 who have had one. There are a few reasons for disfigurement that I know of, although I'm no doctor. The main one is diet. If you are overweight or eat a lot of saturated fats, these can cause disfigurements. The best thing to do is consult your doctor, he will be better informed considering your own personal history.  (+ info)

Is there any homeopathic treatment to unblock fallopian tube?

My wife had fallopian tube block at both side, is there any treatment in homeopathic or other to unblock without surgery
----------

Absolutely not!

Homeopathy is a placebo treatment only. Totally implausible, widely criticized and ridiculed.

Do not reject proper medical advice in favor of this quackery.

Here is a critical evaluation of homeopathy, from the Australian Council Against Health Fraud:

"Homeopathy - how could any honest person sell this rubbish?"

I only have 1 fallopian tube but both ovaries, Would I be fertile at any time?

I only have 1 fallopian tube left (as I had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have it removed) but both ovaries still. I have read that one ovary works one month and the other ovary the next. Is this true? and if so could I conceive any month or only alternate months? as I know the fallopian tube picks egg up and pushes it to the uterus. My husband and I are trying to conceive now and I wasn't sure if I was actually fertile (so to speak) each month.
----------

I am 32 yrs. old and 19 weeks pregnant and have only one fallopian tube due to an ovarian cyst I had removed in my early 20s (I still have both ovaries). In my case, I thought it would take a while to become pregnant, but we surprisingly conceived in about 5 months. During that time, I could not tell which side I was ovulating from, as couldn't really feel anything on either side, or else it was from both sides at once. When I had my surgery years ago, the doctor said it was still very likely I could still conceive, but maybe longer than those with both tubes. He also said it was rare but possible that the egg from the ovary without the tube could migrate to the other tube and be conceived that way. I don't know how it the pregnancy happened, but we just tried every month when I was ovulating, even though I didn't know which ovary it was coming from. Every woman is different obviously, but I am proof that you can get pregnant even with one tube. I wish you the best of luck!  (+ info)

I had a Cyst on one fallopian tube and was operated on. How can I have a Child?been trying for the last 2yrs?

The cyst was on the right side of the ovaries. It grew so big that it raptured my fallopian tube. The tube was cut during operation in 2003. Ever since, I have been trying to have a baby but all in vain. Does it mean that since I just have one working ovary and tube then I will never conceive? Plaese help me am so worried.
----------

I have a friend who had cysts on her ovaries and had them removed....I think she was about 19 yr. and she ended up having three beautiful healthy children. I think her first was conceived when she was 22. You definitely have a good chance of getting pregnant but you may still want to contact your doctor to see if there is anything you can do to improve your chances. Good luck.  (+ info)

I want to know about the test to check the fallopian tube?

I had ectopic pregnancy last year my right side fallopian tube was removed. Iam not able to conceive till now. My egg growth was normal. I want to check whether my left side fallopian tube is clear or not. For checking this what test has to be done. I want to get pregnant soon. Iam taking folic acid for more than 9 months.
----------

Basically, you get an x-ray done. The doctor will put inject a radioactive dye into the cervix and if the tubes are opened, it will go through and empty into the abdomen. I had it done and it was painful. My doctor recommended taking a Tylenol before the procedure. I'd recommend two. I had tried getting pregnant for three years before finally having a baby girl. Good luck.  (+ info)

What is the standard treatment for a blocked fallopian tube? I had a hysterosalpingogram that revealed it?

I am a 27yo woman with one 10yo child recently remarried and trying to conceive. After 13 months of no baby, I went to see a fertility specialist who ordered a hysterosalpingogram to check my fallopian tubes ( I had a previous removal of my right tube after an ectopic many years ago). The x-ray showed a blockage in the remaining tube that was not able to be opened even after trying to inject more dye to attempt to flush the tube. I see the doctor again Sunday for the final results. ..but I would like to know my treatment options and also see if anyone else has experienced something similar.
----------

That are many natural options that will reduce swelling in that area. Try looking it up online I know that liquid chlorophyll is one of them and omega 3 oils but I'm not sure what all of them were. I would suggest doing that and seeing if it helps before doing something as drastic as surgery.  (+ info)

what is it called wen you have more than oe egg stuck in your fallopian tube?

I had 4 eggs stuck in my fallopian tube and one was fertilized. It was not a tubal pregnancy.
----------

Four eggs? Most ovaries produce one egg per month unless you are using fertility drugs.

If the fertilized egg is in the fallopian tube and is not implanting properly, that is an ectopic pregnancy.  (+ info)

Can i still get pregnant after my left fallopian tube and ovary was removed?

Back in 2007 i was pregnant and it was an tubal pregnancy. I was unaware of this untilthey emergency trip to the hospital at 4am! I get to the hospital and come to find out my left fallopian tube had burst killing my unborn child! The doc removed what was left of the tube and ovary, gave me 4 blood transfusions (but i still have my whole right tube and ovary) Will this keep me from getting pregnant, what are my chances of getting pregnant and if i was to get pregnant would it be safe?
----------

You have just as good of chance as us 2 ovary people! Keeping in mind that the you're remaining tube and ovary are functioning properly. The remaining tube must be open and clear of scar tissue and you must ovulate. They're are amazing fertility treatments theses days. In the past IVF would be the only way someone like you would conceive but today thats not the case. You may need some fertility work up prior to starting again. Such as a HSG to see if your remaining tube is open. That will be a big predictor on whether you will need more invasive procedures to get preg.  (+ info)
