Only when my eye is shut it burns and tears up.
There may be something in your eye. That would explain what you are saying. Flush your eye out with water. If your symptoms persist, I would see a doctor.  (+ info)

went to hospital last night dr walked in didn't examine my eye just looked and said pink eye gave me drops that was it it burns non stop since yesterday morning at 6am it wont stop burning
It may be pink eye but then again it may not. Walking into an exam room and looking at an eye from a distance simply does not give a doctor enough information to make a definitive diagnosis. The only way to be sure what this is is by having a trained doctor look at the eye under high magnification. Not all red irritated eyes are pink eye. So, if you don't see improvement soon, you need to go in to see an EYE DOCTOR and let them diagnose rather than guess what is wrong.  (+ info)

Last night my eye started irritating me (turned red, burning, irritated), so I took out my contacts thinking they were the problem, when the contacts are the issue, it usually clears up in 5-10 mins; last night it didnt clear up and obviously, the contacts are not the problem. So I just went to sleep hoping my eye would be fine when I woke up this morning. It is still bloodshot red and irritated, i dont think its pink eye cause it isnt crusty. Please help I have to go take pictures today and a bright red swollen will ruin everything!
I have one small piece of advice for you: Pay a visit to your ophthalmologist.

No offense, but no one here is going to be able to help you unless they can physically examine your eye. Instead of getting lame advice from people who don't even know how to diagnose an eye ailment ("Slap on a piece of raw meat" is NOT a good option), I'd suggest you get that eye checked. It'll most probably be an infection, especially since you wear contacts, so whatever he prescribes may help you fast enough to look decent for your pictures...

Red and yellow bumps under right eye and some sores in mouth on same side. It itches and burns and is swollen!

I woke up with a swollen eye and sores in my mouth the other day then my eye started itching and burning then small pimplelike yellow blisters came on it and burst. It's all on same side and is not anywhere else. They are under my eye on my eyelid and more bumps appear almost daily. Any ideas of what this may be and how to cure it!

If you look at the light and it hurts your eye, and you see stars or halos around the lights, then you might have a corneal abrasion. If you did this just recently, then just keep the lenses out for a while. Don't use visine until you know what it is. Artificial tears can help lubricate your eyes. If it continues after a day, see your opthamologist (sorry for the pun).  (+ info)
