My husband has epididymitis a year after a vasectomy am i at risk to get pregnant?
lol, no, epidiymitis is an inflammation or infection of the epididymus. Basically a back portion of the testicle is inflamed, if they aren't connected anymore, there is no danger. Or , rather not any more danger than is average with a vasectomy. What you should be more worried about is the fact that the inflammation your husband has is mostly caused by Chlamydia, with a second runner up cause of E. Coli.
One or both of you could be very sick. You and he should see a doctor... (+ info
How long does an Epididymitis go away?
its been 3 days im on Antibiotics.. doctor says to take it for 10 days..
balls hurt on and off when could i see relief? any go threw this please give me helpful info.. im takeing Doxycycline 100mg for 10 days.
thanx best regards
Yes the course of Doxy is usually 7-10 days for Epididymitis, you should notice some difference very soon if you have been taking it for 3 days. If symptoms fail to improve then you need to see your GP. Take a NSAI painkiller (unless contraindicated) in the meantime, wear supportive underwear and perhaps use an ice pack if needed. (+ info
I am suffering from epididymitis and prostatitis, (testicular and prostate infection), please help?
Antiobiotics are not working for me. neither do anti-inflammatories... kindly tell me any aromatherapy massage oil which i can rub on my testicles to get rid of testicular infection.
Aromatherapists are not available in my country.
Perhaps not the right antibiotic. All antibiotics are not right for all infections. You need a quinolone antibiotic like Ciproflaxacin or Levofloxin, or just Floxin. Sometimes Sulfa works, too, like Septra or Bactrim. As far as homeopathic, that isnt gonna work. Antibiotic therapy in this region takes at least 6 weeks to work. (+ info
Was diagnosed with epididymitis, but no antibiotics were prescribed?
Doc just told me to take ibuprofen.. is this normal? From what ive read antibiotics are usually needed, but she said no. This is painful.
Epididymitis often clears up on his own if acute, therefore many GP's now prefer to leave mother nature to do it's thing, rather than prescribe antibiotics as a matter of course.
If symptoms persist then it would probably be wise to take a course of doxycycline or something very similar. If the inflamation is from trauma or unknown causes though (which it often is, even stress it starting to be considered as a possible cause) antibiotics will not work.
Even when infection is present, the testicles are one of the toughest parts of the body to treat with medicine. Therefore some people require 2, 3 or maybe more courses of antibiotics before they start to see decent improvements. And even then, it can flare up again.
Give it two weeks and if no improvement, go back and demand medicine. (+ info

What would happen next if my Epididymitis didn't get better?
Its been 5 days on antibiotics(Doxycycline 100mg) i feel im getting better but slowly.Dr. wants to see me if it doesn't totally go away. what would he do next ? try a new antibiotic? surgery? already did a urine test and testicle examination.. any advice please feel free
I have a feeling you are asking your question in the wrong forum. You are under a doctor and you are already on antibiotics. If you have concerns about your treatment, you must address these to your doctor. If you are not happy with what your doctor is doing, you are entitled to seek a second opinion from another doctor. My wife wants me to get a vasectomy. I had a bad case of epididymitis 3 yrs ago. Should I avoid a vasectomy?
More information: I have no children.
There is nothing wrong with getting a vasectomy if you have no children. I did when I was 21. I know other guys that did.
They thought I had epididymitis because I have large testicles. But that didn't stop me from getting a vasectomy.
If your case of epididymitis was only six months ago, then I would worry. In your case it was three years ago. Don't sweat it.
Getting a vasectomy is nothing. I had mine done on a Friday, and was back to work on Monday. That was 20 years ago, and I am so glad I had it. (+ info
Can having Epididymitis cause nausea or vomiting?
One of the side effects of the antibiotics are nausea.but before..
well the dr. says i have Epididymitis and im on antibiotics. But before i had Epididymitis or when it was forming if you will i started to get some nausea, only vomiting a couple times on and off for a month
In addition to pain in the testicles, torsion may cause nausea and vomiting. It is usually distinguished by a “bell clapper" deformity in which the testes are misaligned. You go to this webpage for more info.

What causes pain in the testicles for Epididymitis?
how does one get afected by it?>best regards
If you have not had an injury there, then it could be that your sperm tube is twisted or more likely that you have an infection.
See your doctor.
