Do you think i have Endometritis?

Im worried i have endometritis. i know its genetic and my mum suffered from it. although she had two kids she has had a hysterectomy. I am 17 years old and still have irregular periods, like 2-8 a year. When i am on my periods i get pains in either hip. Recenetly it has been my left hip although i have had it on my right hip. When i walk i feel my hip clicking. i am worried i have endometritis but my mum says im fine and that if i dont have painful period pains then i probably dont have it, although i have read that many woman have different symptoms. I do not want to go to the doctors i just want opinions if i could have it or if im being parronoid.
----------

No one here can help, even doctors. If you don't have dysmennorrhoea. Clicking hips would not normally be a sign of gynaecological problems - that's more in the realm of orthopaedics. If you seriously thinkk you have a problem, then your doctor is the person to ask.  (+ info)

if you have Endometritis...can you still have children?

have any ladies had this condition & still gone on to have children?

i would be very interested in your views as somebody i know has this condition at the moment. thank you for any serious answers.
----------

I dont know of anyone personally that has had endo and then had children, but I do know that it happens. I unfornuately had surgery for the condition last year and have been trying to concieve my first child for about 4 years now with no success. I cant say that i have been unsuccessful because of the endo but i cant say that its not. Endo is actually the number 1 cause of infertility.  (+ info)

Painful lymph node while on antibiotics for endometritis?

Following a LEEP procedure march 2nd I got a kidney infection a couple weeks later and 2 wks after the procedure found out I had endometritis (uterine infection) that had gone unchecked for awhile. I have been on antibiotics for the uterine infection for almost a wk with slight improvement, but today I noticed a painful bump under my ear near my jaw. Would it be a swollen lymph node do to fighting off the infection? The Dr. said I should feel much better after 2 days on the meds. Is it normal to take a little longer to see an improvement?
----------

mnt406 - The usual cause of a painful bump under the ear is a swollen lymph node. This may be caused by either a virus or bacteria infection in the throat, like a URI. The LEEP treatment of your cervix is probably not related. Swollen lymph nodes may take 2 to 3 weeks to shrink back to normal size. If the node swelling is bacterial, the antibiotics you are taking should help. If the infection is by a virus, the antibiotics won't affect the node even though it will help the healing from the LEEP procedure. By the way, there are some other body parts under your ear, such as a normal salivary gland which could be separately involved and could enlarge and be painful.  (+ info)

CHRONIC ENDOMETRITIS??

OKAY, SO I JUST FOUND OUT I HAVE CHRONIC ENDOMETRITIS. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? IT IS NOT ENDOMITREOSIS!!!! i KNOW THAT THIS IS AN INFECTION, BUT i HAVE NO CLUE WHAT KIND, OR WHAT CAUSES IT. MY DR. DISCOVERED I HAD THIS WHILE DOING A D AND C ON ME LAST WEDNESDAY, DUE TO ABNORMAL BLEEDING..... MY HUSBAND AND I ARE TTC, WE HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESFUL SO FAR, HOPEFULLY NOW THAT THIS WAS DISCOVERED, WITH THE MEDS THE DR. PRESCRIBED, ( KEFLEX AND CLOMI) WE WILL HAVE SOME LUCK! ANY HELP IS GREATLY APRICIATED... THANKS!
----------

First ... is your dr a fertilty specialist? If not you would want to go see one. Did he makes sure the endo did not interfer with the functions of the ovaries and tubes? Because if he didnt fertlity drug will not help unless all your reproductive organs are functioning. Good luck hope this helps  (+ info)

What are the chances of getting pregnant with Endometritis?

Just recently I got married and I told my husband that once we got married we will try for kids. We have been trying for some time to get pregnant but with no luck. Just recently I have noticed that when I am on my period there has been blood coming out from my rectum as well as my vagina. I brought this to my doctors attention along with other symptoms Ive been having and she stated that it seems like I have Endometritis. My doctor is scheduling me for some testing and submitting a referral to the OBGYN department to confirm if I do have it. If the findings are that I do have Endometritis does that mean that my chances of getting pregnant are over?

cervical/ovarian cacer? Endometritis? Someone help:(?

For the past 2-3 weeks ive been having a lot of weird pains. I had a yeast infection, that has cleared up already. I have a GOD AWFUL pain in my lower back, right above my butt, that hurts, even when I push on the area. Sometimes the pain will go to my legs, and even in my vaginal area. I don't have a problem urinating, periods are normal, and my fiance and me have sex fine..(i have some pain, but ive ALWAYS been that way, i tense up alot).
So, what exactly could this be? Im scared, thinking that its cervical or ovarian cancer, but...im just stressed out!! I have occasional pain in my ovary area, but I dont even know if thats what the pain is coming from.

Please help, im really freaking out about everything.:(

No one on this board is qualified to help you with this question and you should not be willing to take the advice of anyone on her.

You need to make an appointment with your doctor ASAP. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Your pain could be coming from 100 different things and only a couple of them would really be bad.

Don't speculate what it is, call the doctor and get a fast, accurate answer.

Good Luck  (+ info)

What is the cause for endometritis,is surgery the only solution?

I am having bleeding since 4 months what is the best way to get stopped?
----------

See if your Gyno will let you get shots of hormones. This will ease it a little, but surgery is the best. Been there and done it. No regrets.  (+ info)

My mother has multiple fibroids. Histopathology report shows stroma has moderate infiltration by lymphocytes.

Diagnosis: Early secretory endomertium with chronic endometritis.

is it cancer? or just simple fibroids. She is taking lukrine depot once a month for three months for treatment. Is this treatment for for cancer or just simple fibroids?b
----------

Not cancer.
"Early secretory endometrium" just refers to the stage in the menstrual cycle that the endometrium is in.
And endometritis means inflammation of the endometrium. The infiltration by lymphocytes causes the inflammation. They invade to fight off whatever may be in the endometrium that isn't supposed to be there. Cancer would show invasion of malignant cells, meaning invasion of endometrial cells that are mutated from their normal endometrial cell counterparts. Invasion by lymphocytes is okay, and not cancerous.
As for lukrine, I'm not sure what that is. Are you sure that's the correct med? There is leuprolide (generic) also known as Lupron (brand name), which is a gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist. This acts as a hormone that decreases the amount of estrogen that the ovaries make. This causes the fibroids to shrink. So if this is the med that your mother is on, then it is for fibroids.
Hope that helps.  (+ info)

question on the risk with an (HSG) Hysterosalpingography?

Hi i want to know are there any risks involved with having a (HSG) Hysterosalpingography done an x-ray of the uterus and fallopian tubes that involves the injection of dye through the cervix

i was reading that You may need to sign a consent form that says you understand the risks of a Hysterosalpingography

Endometrial infection (endometritis)
Fallopian tube infection (salpingitis)
Perforation of the uterus
Allergic reaction to the contrast dye
----------

I had this treatment done and I was surprised how easy it was. It was not painful at all and the people were very nice. It is like a pap but with someone taking X-Rays all the way through. I was warned of the side effects but I did not have to sign a consent form. However I do live in Canada so perhaps that is why. I also had no ill effects. There was some light bleeding but that went away in a few hours. It is defiantly worth getting it done. They say had if you had some minor blockage the HSG usually clears it up and many people get pregnant after the treatment (If tubal blockage was the reason for infertility). I wish you luck! Do not worry if it were unsafe they would not do it so often. It is one of the first tests a woman does if fertility is questioned.   (+ info)
