The doctor has asked us to wait it out. Culture tests came out negative for pathogens. We are very worried as his condition is not improving. His blood count looks okay and he has no fever and he is active. He has stomach cramps and his poop is liquidy.
For god sakes get a second opinion! If there are no pathogens it can be a variety of other medical conditions.

You cannot rehydrate a severely dehydrated person with water alone: you have to replace the electrolytes. If rehydration solution isn't available or the child won't swallow it--it tastes pretty ghastly, but I can tell you from experience that you crave the salt and sugar when you're deyhdrated--you can try them on bouillon or clear soups, which contain sodium, and fruit juices, soft fruits like bananas, or vegetables, which contain potassium.

As again I am doing a project. And I seriously need help. I know antibotics cure them. But I need like names and all that junk.
there are 2 types of dysenetry - Shigella which is most commen... antibiotics are used in very severe cases but often the patient will be told to keep well hydrated and let it run it's course. This Dysentery comes from Shigella dysenteriae

There's also Amoebic Disterery - which is like "Montezuma's Revenge" and comes from drinking water in developing areas. This is usually treated with Metronidazole.  (+ info)
