I'm doing a paper on Seborrheic Dermatitis and I have to find a cause and effect experiment (maybe with control groups?) to include which have specific accompanying graphs. URLs would be fantastic. I need to have the procedure, hypothesis, a works cited, all of that. I already did a paper on it but I didn't find very many graphs to include, which could hurt my grade. I wanted to do one about the effects of crude honey on treating the disease but I couldn't find good graphs. I found great graphs about Scalpacin treatments, but not an actual procedure or precise information. I need ANY experiment with ANY multitude of related graphs.

I know about shampoos you are suppose to use, but those are only supposed to be used 2 or 3 times a week. What is a good shampoo to use on those alternating days? And what about conditioner? What are some good cleansers and moisturizers for the face. I try to use fragrance free products, that seems to help. Any suggustions?

I have SD andit peaks in the winter, I have decided that my diet has alot to do with it. I eat cheese at every meal, mushrooms five times a week, and I drink wine. I have decided to try the anti candida (low yeast) diet but it is very strict. Will I still see results if I eliminate these foods and still eat them occasionally? Or do I really have to go cold turkey?

I don't think you can get laser treatments for seborrheic scalp dermatitis -- they would have to shave your head in order for the laser to reach the skin on your scalp. You need to use prescription shampoos to treat seborrheic dermatitis, like Nizoral 2%. You can also try an over-the-counter shampoo, like Sebulex if your hair is extremely oily. I've never even heard of anyone using laser treatments for seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp is really just severe dandruff.  (+ info)

I have minor redness on my cheeks and I always use Head and Shoulders to wash my hair. I have used some exfoliators and moisturizers and it has helped a little with the redness. I just want the redness to go away completely. Any suggestions?
The main cause of SD is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I've turned to the natural treatments.
