How many cases of wine should I buy for a conference wine reception for approx. 30 people?

If a case of wine contains 12 bottles then by my guessing, two cases would be sufficient to provide each person with roughly four glasses each with some to spare. I'm keen to do this as cheaply as possible due to budget constrictions but also, don't want to run out of wine! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
----------

Given your thoughts about not wanting to run out of wine but remaining reasonable in cost and consumption, your choice of 2 cases is just about right. If you knew that the majority were light drinkers, you could go less. Also, remember that the sophistcation of the "audience" contributes to the results. A sophisticated group with poor wine to drink, should generally drink less. Good wine would have the opposite results. A unsophisticated group (when it comes to wine), may drink anything. Sometimes people are just not "into" wine and will opt to not drink...or choose to go out to get a beer or a cocktail. All in all, your guess appears wise and safe.  (+ info)

Chest constriction. Hard to fully inhale?

Sometimes at night the upper left part of my chest will feel like it tightens or constricts, which makes it so whenever I try to fully inhale it hurts around my heart. After awhile it will go away. Randomly happens at night. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Is it healthier to sleep in boxers or no boxers?

I was told it's healthiest for men to sleep naked, as sleeping in boxers can cause constriction and overheating which lowers sperm count, and men who sleep naked on average have a higher sperm count then men who sleep with clothing on, is this true?

Help, extreme penile CD-hole constriction sensation?

I was looking at one of my CD's and I noticed that it has a small hole in the center of it so I thought it would be exciting/fun to try to insert my penis into it. I was able to squish my flaccid penis all the way through so that the CD was resting against my pelvis, but I immediately began to get aroused and an erection from the pleasure it gave me. I started to feel an extreme constriction sensation where the CD's hole edge was pressing against my shaft and the penis became bulbous in shape from the blood being forced to the tip. I have since removed the CD by cutting through it with scissors but my penis has not lost its bulbous shape, and I still have an extreme penile CD-hole constriction sensation. What should I do?

lol did this happen before or after the "shark almost bit it off". hahahaa yah okat in the slim chance this is true. just leave it alone and if it doesnt get better then go to the doctor. this isnt something u want to mess up.  (+ info)

Help, extreme penile bottle constriction sensation?

I was drinking my diet coke when suddenly I thought it would be exciting to put my penis into the opening of the bottle. I finished it off, and then proceeded to squish my flaccid penis into the plastic bottle. I got it through, but began to experience extreme penile pleasure. My penis was becoming more and more erect until it reached the bottle opening margin. This caused an extreme penile bottle constriction sensation as the tip ballooned into the bottle and the center was being forced into a small opening. This sensation caused even more pleasure, and my penis was becoming so erect, that the tip was losing circulation, making it reddish. Now I am so aroused, I cannot remove my penis and I am afraid I will cause serious damage. Here is a picture of my situation:

Can someone advise me on what to do?

Which is more dangerous with Asthma: bronchial constriction, or the inflammation?

I'm not sure which is more deadly, I do know that both combined is what causes the attack and it can be life-threatening and dangerous. However, what's more dangerous, the actual constriction or the inflammation.

The inflammation really cannot be brought down by the emergency inhalers, and it can only be controlled with the long-term maintenance drugs.

However, wouldn't the inflammation really be the key cause of Asthma and the most dangerous aspect of it? Being that it is responsible for being ultra-sensitive to anything and everything including triggers?

The bronchospasms and constriction would be to me a secondary reaction to the asthma, and can easily be reversed by medication, whereas the inflammation is harder and more long-term to treat.

What's your take?

Also which drugs are more effective on the inflammation, and which drugs on the bronchoconstriction?

I'd assume prednisone would work better for the inflammation and albuterol for the constriction.
----------

Luke, Asthma is a very complex condition that has many triggers. These triggers may be bronchospastic in nature or inflammatory.

The tricky thing about bronchospastic episodes is finding the trigger ... is it intrinsic (within the body via various pathways) or extrinsic (via allergies ... cold air ... exercise ... etc.).

Thus the huge range of drugs offered. Obviously, inflammatory response is going to be controlled by a steroid such as fluticasone, beclomethasone, etc. This is usually considered a maintenance drug and must be taken as prescribed. It will not give you relief on an emergency basis.
If you have a severe inflammatory response ... off to the hospital and IV steroids will be necessry.

If you have a good response to your bronchodilators ... you most likely have an bronchospastic component ... not inflammatory (key word most likely) ... this is called reactive airways disease ....

I like Xopenex for bronchodilation and Ipratropium Bromide (Atrovent) ...

There are a few new steroids on the market that I havent used ... so my experience for inflammatory response is Flovent (Fluticasone) .... I work strictly with neonates now so I am unaware of the efficacy of the new steroids ..

If you have repeatedly dosed yourself with the resue inhaler ... and no response .. go to the ER .... Asthma can be DEADLY!  (+ info)

USB-induced penile constriction, need medical help?

Well I went ahead and did it... I fully inserted my penis into a USB port in my computer. I was able to squish my completely flaccid penis into the port. However, the mere idea of intimacy with my computer aroused me, and I began to form an erection. I felt a strong penile constriction sensation. I tried to pull out but it was stuck and the penile flesh began to fill out the shape of the port - horizontally narrow and trapezoidal. I began to bleed, my penis palpitating with both pleasure and pain at the same time. After an hour, when the erection subsided, I was able to pull out. My penis is severely misshapen, taking the form of the USB port - trapezoidal and highly horizontal. I need medical advice from a doctor.

What works for the inflammation part of Asthma/not the constriction?

Everyone's always concerned about the bronchospasm/constriction part of asthma, which can be scary itself, and that's the part that I think is the dangerous part, right?

However, for me, the actual inflammation, the pain/soreness, that lasts for days...that part makes it uncomfortable for me and hard to breathe.

Being that inhalers don't really work for treating that, what does?
Is there any immediate relief for the inflammation, or not really?

Aside from pain killers.

If you're taking pain killers for asthma, does that mean that the inflammation is really bad?
----------

if your asthma is that bad you should be asking a doctor and not Yahoo answers!!! asthma can become a medical emergency and so many have died from this, I have asthma and I can tell you that not being able to breath is worse than having a sore throat or inflammation any day, not getting oxygen into your blood stream or into you brain isnt good, and when you're low on oxygen you can become euphoric and not even realize you're very sick and thats how and when u can die from it. you can see if you doctor can put you on steriods for awhile, that will work on the inflammation. but please go see your doctor  (+ info)

Can changes in atmospheric pressure cause dizziness given that I live in Portland, Oregon?

Lately its been a myriad of issues –

viral infection that is subsiding, but has messed up my Eustachian tube and ears keep popping.

allergies that is giving dry eyes on and off and has shot up the histamine drainage (in control with Claritin).

neck muscle pain that hits the temple and the eyes equally, causing eye pain sometimes

slightest and reducing lymph node swelling in the back of the neck

acid reflex causing feeling of constriction while swallowing.

Constantly feel dizzy in my head and also have a scalp infection. Dunno if the dizzy feeling is coz of the popping ears?

I have noticed that in Portland, Oregon –

When the atmos. Pressure is below 30 my head does not feel foggy and I do not feel dizzy as much.

When the atmos. Pressure is above 30 my head feel likes its confused, foggy and really dizzy when it comes to equilibrium.

Any ideas? Can any of this be explained by the changes in atmospheric pressure? Also does this have an impact on allergies?
