sometimes, but who want's that, it can be painful to swallow, or eat. just get diflucan or nystating or mycelex troches. I like Diflucan, don't like Nystating swish/spit/swallow. I want it gone, but can be caused by steroid inhalers/asthma/ antibiotics/inhaled /oral. some women get vag yeast infect instead. get Rx.  (+ info)

How can you tell the difference between leukoplakia and oral candidiasis by inspection?

Hi.
I have seen both patches of oral hairy leukoplakia and oral candidiasis.
The lesions of OHL are always darker in appearence and look more like mold on the tongue and the hard pallate. The lesions have rounded edges and are always multiple in numbers.
The lesions of oral candida are always pink in the middle with concentric whitty pathces on the edges which gives them a whitty appearence on the edges.
They are also round edged and are are more on the hard pallate.

The other important observation is that aral candidiasis hurts and the person with it will complain of pain during chewing and swallowing (Dysphagia). while the lesions of OHL do not hurt and sometimes the person does not know they are there untill an oral exam is done or during oral hygiene.  (+ info)

I am suffering from oral candidiasis since last 2 years.Problem is chronic and reoccuring.Can some body tell me where can i get Grape seed extract,olive leaf extract,oregano oil in pune/india.
Oral candidiasis can be treated with topical anti-fungal drugs, such as nystatin, miconazole or amphotericin B. Topical therapy is given as an oral suspension which is washed around the mouth and then swallowed by the patient.

Patients who are immunocompromised, either with HIV/AIDS or as a result of chemotherapy, may require systemic treatment with oral or intravenous administered anti-fungals.

Well, when you inhale steroids (or anything else) not all of the drug goes to your lungs, in fact most of it settles out in your mouth and airways before getting to the lungs, even if you do the technique right (and more so if you do it incorrectly). It's this steroid dose to your mouth that makes you more susceptible to thrush, one of the effects of steroids (and this is actually their therapeutic affect for asthma, but in the lungs, not your mouth) is to decrease inflammation and immune response, and if this happens in your mouth, it makes it easier for candida and other fungi (which are the cause of thrush) to grow there.
A space allows some of the larger particles to settle out in the spacer rather than your mouth and when you inhale, smaller particles that are more likely to get to your lungs are a higher percentage of the medicine delivered. It's not foolproof, of course, and it's still a good idea to rinse your mouth out after using the inhaler, whether you use a spacer or not.  (+ info)

Yes, first of all take anti Fungal therapy-
FLUCONAZOLE or TERFINADINE.

Then, continue local application of anti fungal cream. CANDID MOUTH PAINT.
Take good pro biotic. GUTPRO, COLONISE, PROGUT any of it will work.
The most important thing is to find the cause of it.

And in repercussion, could he then transfer the thrush back to the woman orally?

Simply put, can candidiasis be transfered from vaginal location to oral location, or is oral thrush a different strain of yeast infection?
yes you can...just clean your mouth with mouth wash and eat yogurt...if the trush is resistant just go to your doc...and get some prescription pills or wash for your condition  (+ info)

Hello, I've come on here for some help. I have oral candidiasis, I just recently got it. the only thing i can remember that i would have got it from is from a Z pack i took because i was sick. but instead of taking just 3 i split them up into halves and took 6 total. over 6-7 days.

I was wondering how long does oral candidiasis last? ive ate alot of yogurt and ive taken asodopholius, or whatever thats called. for normal biota.

I took a diflucan about 6-7 days ago. and im not sure if its helping yet. because there really wasnt any white patches at that point because i caught it early. right now i only have the white patches at the back of my tongue and the underside of my tongue is colored slightly white. please help?
well Candida's is a yeast infection, and it can come from medication, with the z pack kills bad bacteria, and yeast can over populate so it is possible it come from that. and even though diflucan is only one pill it can still take a couple of days for it to start working  (+ info)

Oral Candidiasis? Strep?

This morning I woke up with a slightly sore throat on one side. After a few hours of pain I looked in the mirror and I saw a few small red bumps in the back of my mouth that look like pimples. One has a white head on it. Additionally, the back of my tongue is whitish/yellow. I can't tell if its more than normal. Also, it feels like the lymph nodes on my neck (only on the side with the sore) are slightly swollen. I have no other symptoms. I just finished a course of antibiotics. Could this be oral candidiasis? Or do you think its strep? Thanks.
Does your tongue hurt? Thrush really hurts; anything acidic is quite painful to eat. Strep hurts when you swallow. If you have Thrush, the doctor can call in a fluconozole pill and it will clear up easily. It costs $4.00 at Walmart.  (+ info)
