How to find out your blood group?

I know it's unlikely, but is there any way other than asking your doctor to find out what blood group you are?

I'm filling in a form and it's asking me, and frankly I will not be able to consult with my doctor before it is due in.
No there isn't, in fact unless you have been grouped in pregnancy he may not necessarily have a note of your blood group either.  (+ info)

If you and your partner exposed your baby to the Rhesus Factor because your blood types were incompatible (eg. type A+ and type B-), how did this affect your pregancy, labour and baby?
Oh dear - I hope this isn't one of those questions that gets a resounding absence of responses. Maybe it's rarer than I thought....

Fortunately being Rh Negative did not effect me during my pregnancy, labor, or after delivery. My daughter was born A pos, same blood type as my husband so there was no need for either of us to have further treatment. I just carry around my little card saying I've received the shot

**I am O neg. My daughter had slight jaundice after birth that for precautionary reasons they kept us an extra day but otherwise she was perfectly healthy. Having her cord around her neck twice during delivery really didn't have much to do with her blood type.  (+ info)

Is it true that people of same blood group can't marry ?
There's no reason why a couple of different blood groups can not marry. The only problem that comes into the picture is when the mother has the RH factor Negative. She would develop antibodies and subsequent pregnancies would be in jeopardy when her body start rejecting the baby- deeming it a foreign body or enemy.   (+ info)

O types are more resistant to syphilis & TB but more vulnerable to HIV infection, type B is more resistant to TB, type As are more vulnerable to smallpox, malaria & TB. Those who produce an excess of PK levels regardless of blood type are more resistant to HIV infection. PK is carbohydrate-containing antigen, termed Pk blood group, which is distinct from the well-known ABO and Rh blood grouping systems, and is present at variable levels on the surface of white and red blood cells in everyone.

I don't know that one blood type is any more resistant or vulnerable than any other. Each has its strengths & weaknesses. As for how blood type influences this, do the research.  (+ info)

Is it difficult to conceive a second child if it is AB negative blood group? ?

I am ab-ve blood group and after my 1st delivery I was given Rhogam shot. When I conceived again I had a miscarriage (6 weeks) again I was given Rhogam shot last week. I am just worried that when my blood group is negative is it possible that I will have more miscarriages.
Also, after a miscarriage how long the bleeding will be there?

I have ab negative bloodtype and I have 3 healthy children no problem getting pregnant. I have had a miscarriage but it's not due to rhogam or blood type. The bleeding could be like a regular period or last up to 6 weeks just as after having a baby. I'm sorry for your loss.  (+ info)
