This is the job of the bloodbank and such a listing is strictly confidential. Even if you were to have a listing, blood must be processed after it's collected as it is rarely used as whole blood, so the list itself would be of limited value. (Blood is fractionalized and broken down into Packed cells, cryoprecipitate, etc. so that patients receive what they need, not an entire unit)
First of all, when a patient who is bleeding profusely comes through the ER, they are given a couple of units of O Negative, a universal donor while they are typed and crossmatched. They either have this blood type or a courier obtains it from a neighboring blood bank. I have even seen it delivered via helicopter. We also have non-blood plasma expanders which can also be used until the patients blood type can be located. There are many different rare types of blood. My placenta abrupted during my pregnancy.I was positive for group B strep .My daughter was born with sepsis.No one ever told me this was why she was sick.She continues to have problems and is now 6.The drs didnt deliver her because they said there wasnt enough blood.
the drs screwed you over. I didn't have group b strep, but i did have an abrupted placenta, and my dr did an emergency c section. She was out 12 minutes after he dicovered abruption. I'm really sorry about your daughter. You should have sued.  (+ info)

I know you can find out by donating blood, but is there any other way? I went to donate blood for the first (and quite possibly) last time today but was told I couldn't because I'm allergic to latex and there is a chance the tubing is made of latex.

there are two ways...

either giving blood,in which case you will be told

or

if you ask at your local hospital (in the place where they do blood donations...cant remember the proper name for it!) they can do a test and tell you. i had it done; it cost me £10 but i got the results in a week.

how can an infant with blood group O will have an antibody against antigens A and B when in reality the infant was never been exposed to those antigens before.

As we all know an antibody to antigen can only be produced in human body if we are exposed to the specific antigen, than how a newborn who has never been exposed to an antigen in his lifetime can produce A and B antibodies.

Is this an exception to the antigen antibody rule or is it caused by antibody cross-reactivity, please elaborate.
