Does anyone have Adenocarcinoma and can you tell me your experience and how you are dealing with it?

I am a 54 year old male and I need some information about anybody out there who has adenocarcinoma which is cancer in the small intestines. I am in and out of the hospital because of the blockage in the intestines and I cannot eat and can barley drink fluids. I just found out from my doctor I have less than a year to live and I believe that there has to be something or someone out there that can help me. Thank you.

You’re a 54 year old male with a name like Vanessa?
Cancer in the small intestine is not very common, but they should have removed the tumor.  (+ info)

Can sebaceous cysts really be healed by applying a hot water bottle?

Just wondered if anyone has had any success with getting rid of cysts in this way. Also, what can be done to prevent getting them? I've had 7 or 8 over the past 20 years on my back neck and face. I've never had a satisfactory answer from a GP on prevention methods and thought it might be time to put the question to the masses.
----------

Other than deep cleansing in an attempt to keep the ducts free of debris, there is little you can do. A hot-water bottle won't help.  (+ info)

Anyone every have their sebaceous prominences removed?

I have a handful of small sebaceous prominences on my penis which I really want to get rid of. I know the only real way to get rid of them is to have a doctor (or yourself if you're crazy enough) slice it open with a scalpel and drain it. I was wondering if anyone has had this procedure done and had any success? Are dermatologists willing to do it or will they just say "it's normal, live with it"? Do they use a local anesthetic?

I have sebaceous prominence on my penis and it is very noticeable, will this substance work?

I have heard by a few people that if you apply a cream called OXY10 the spots will reduce in size or disappear. I want to know if this will work or if its work a try.
----------

The only definitive treatment for sebaceous cyst is SURGICAL REMOVAL, Other treatment may cause some reduction is size (though unlikely) but can never cure it  (+ info)

How can you get rid of clogged sebaceous glands on labia minora?

I know it's not an STD because I am not sexually active. I have many clogged ones, some bigger than others. I've had these for as long as I can remember.
----------

"A sebaceous cyst is just a blocked oil gland, much like a pimple elsewhere on the body. Using warm packs may help them drain sooner by softening the plug. Just be careful not to burn yourself. Using warm sitz baths (a type of bath in which only the hips and buttocks are soaked in water or saline solution.) may help as well."  (+ info)

How long does it take for a swollen sebaceous cyst to go down?

It got irritated a week ago Friday and swelled up. Its on the side of my neck. It doesn't really hurt. I've been putting warm compresses on it and I have been taking showers. After I do either of those it mildly hurts. The size does not seem to have gone down any. I am on some antibiotics too but I don't think its infected simply because they aren't doing the trick either. Can anyone tell me how long this could take or if there are any other ways to help this thing shrink down?
----------

Give the antibiatics a bit longer to kick in. It takes awhile for them to work on cysts.

I always recommend putting rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and dabbing the cyst with it several times a day. It will kill the bacteria and the alcohol will help dry of the liquid part of the cyst. There is solid matter in the cyst that will have to be removed either by a doctor or if you are brave--yourself.  (+ info)

Will sebaceous cyst removal cause a scar?

I had a sebaceous cyst removed off of my back about 4 weeks ago and a noticeable scar is still there. Is this scar just going to go away on its own or will a scar always be there? Is there any cream or something that I can take to help with the scar to heal and go away?

how long does it take a sebaceous cysts to go away and are swollen lymph nodes painful?

exactly two weeks ago, my left armpit felt sore and i felt a lump there 2 days later. i waited for a a week and went to see a doctor. at first she said it looked like a lymph node and after asking me questions and examing my breast and the lump, { she tried to move the surrounding skin over it} she said it was a sebaceous cysts because the lump moved with the skin. she says if it were to be a lymph node it would not have moved and would have stayed in place.

she says there is no lump in my breast. i have no other symptoms apart from slight headaches and an ache in my ear. its 2 weeks now and the lump is still there. i now feel some occasional pains especially when i raise up my hand or touch it.
i noticed a smaller lump in my other armpit some days ago three days after i shaved. could it have been a result of the shaving or what? its hard and very small.
i am scared. what can these be? how long will it take them to go and what are the differences between lymph nodes and cysts?
----------

Make an appointment with aother doctor immediately. Get a second exam and opinion which should be accompanied by further tests like xrays and/or blood draw. It could be very simple, but you will never forgive yourself if the time you are wasting here on this posting board is time you really needed to stay ahead of something that could be seriously developing in your body.

Lumps are NOT the only way cancer shows up in a breast. I did not have a lump. My own doctor couldn't even feel a problem. The mammogram showed a problem right off.

And don't mess around with swollen or tender lymph nodes. (found in the armpits) Lymph nodes are the disease catchers, the filters of the body, which is why so much attention is paid to them. Something's wrong if you have a lump or lumps and you need to keep on going with your investigation. Go to a second Doctor for a second opinion and a proper exam, professional x-rays and possible blood draws accompanying. Then get a proper diagnosis and what the doctor intends to do about it!
"Oh it's just a lump, don't worry about it, just ain't hackin' it!  (+ info)

What was getting a vasectomy or removal of a sebaceous cyst like?

Im getting a cyst removed on my scrotum on monday. The procedure seems fairly similar to a vasectomy, they just make a small incision and remove the cyst and stitch it up. My problem is that I have a guitar lesson scheduled the same day. I was wondering if you think that I will be able to attend or should I cancel it?
----------

I had a vasectomy. I drove myself home, and sat on my butt for two days. That is all you will want to do. If you do much of anything else you will get an infection.  (+ info)
