diagn.hyperprolactinaemia 2007.;microadenoma hypophyseos 6x4mm(MRi) prolactin 51.78 ng /ml.After 2 years therapy bromokriptin tbl. on control MR I-status idem and prolactin level steel high - 15 mg bromokriptin a day- 35 ng/ml.I am 41 years old,2 children ,no oder symptoms.Is my therapy ok? Do I have to take higher dose tbl.

no you will might find that after a couple of yrs the bromocriptine stops working ,in my case i passed out ,vomiting ,and then got changed to cabergoline.which i feel so much better,no more headaches.. i also have a macro-prolactinoma (25mm x 25mm x 20mm) i am 45 yrs of age.also if you find you fall asleep alot in mid afternoon .pop back to your endo nurse ,as you might have 'panhypo' if you do ,just take your hydrocortisone a bit earlier .have you treid the pituitary foundation site (of which im a member) it helped me out so much .ive had mind 4 yrs now( was diagnosed anyway,they say it takes upto 10 yrs for it to grow ).but good luck
