1/1. Primary angiolipoma of the thyroid gland: a case report. We report a case of an angiolipoma involving the thyroid gland of a 74-year-old woman. The patient presented with a multinodular goiter that was surgically removed. Gross examination of the specimen revealed an intrathyroidal well-circumscribed nodule that microscopically showed the typical features of an angiolipoma. There was no evidence of extrathyroidal extension, necrosis, or atypia. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of a primary angiolipoma of the thyroid gland.- - - - - - - - - - ranking = 1keywords = gland (Clic here for more details about this article) |
